Photo Critiques

either your camera has a spot meter (in Canon they have evaluative metering, partial metering, center weighted metering and spot metering) if you camera doesn't have it, just bracket your exposure so the camera will take several shots with several types of exposures.

What I like: I'm a sucker for waterfall pictures, so you got me with subject :thumbsup2 . I think the composition is good, I like the diagonal of the waterfall. I think you had the right balance of rocks, plants, and pool. It's quite peaceful.

What I didn't like: To get the falling water blur, you have camera shake, and the foliage is out of focus

What I would improve: Use a tripod, or try a fast shutter speed for another interesting effect of stopping water. Also, I might play with the color balance to see if adding a little blue would give it a more refreshing, cool feel. The green foliage looks a tad yellow to me

Hmmmm.
I like the color. It is not so bright that it draws the attention.

I can live with the overexposed background. Maybe it's even better than having a wall or something else....

Maybe try more of a "rule of thirds" crop
or
a shot with the boy looking more towrds the camera. Not directly at it, but more looking towards going down the slide.

That was taken in the Trail in Animal Kingdom where you can see the tigers.

what i like...the background doesn't take away from the subject which in wdw can be difficult to get

maybe next time ...how do i say this with out being gross...don't cut him off at his "hind quarters" ;) and include his tail?

maybe you need a slightly less zoomed photo so you get the whole animal or more to just get his beautiful head/chest/front paws if you can't get the whole thing?

I guess I'm a sucker for cute kid shots but i like the way he is looking down so intently , his little foot and the cowlick . i like the back lighting and his face is still nicely exposed

might be my eyes but is it just a tad blurry? and that white railing thing is in the way ( when are they going to learn to design safety features so it doesn't get in the way of pictures... get your priorities right engineer people! ;) )

maybe soften the background a little so the step rail or what ever that white thing is isn't so prominant? ( wonder if using more of a portrait setting would help?)

this was the real sky color,,, bad storm had just past. i probably would crop this but since it's supposed to be as is i resisted

This is my low-size "photobucket" version, I don't have the full size accessible at the moment. I do like this crop better than the original--she was in the center in the original.
