I read this advice on Mousesavers before our last trip and had our husband copy our tickets to carry with us in case we lost ours. You need to copy the front and back of each ticket so you have the code. Well. . .wouldn't you know it, we were headed out our first day to the parks feeling great to be in Disney, and I asked him for the tickets and his face went pale, HE HAD LEFT THEM AT HOME. Of course we panicked, started doing calculations of how much replacements would cost and would we have enough money to eat after it was all said and done and LUCKILY I remembered the copies, WE DID HAVE THOSE! We took them to the front desk, I was practically in tears begging them. They explained that LUCKILY we had copied the tickets and that was fortunate because they could indeed replace them. We picked up our new tickets at the ticket window of MGM, AMAZING. So. . .my advice to everyone is to photo copy those tickets before you leave on your trip.
Thanks,
Lesley

Wow! Glad to hear that you copied the tickets! I'm always afraid about leaving passes at home and thankfully we make copies as well.

Good advice! :wizard:

Also, be sure to keep your receipt for the Magic Your Way passes as well. If they are lost or stolen, the number on the receipt is your specific ticket number and they can replace them and stop that ticket from ever being used. Since we have five more days on our tickets to use for next year I have the receipt in the same folder just in case. And we also checked our tickets before we left the World to be sure the five days were still left because it would be easier to get it corrected then and there as opposed to waiting till next year.

I am so glad you guys had those copies! The DIS is invaluable! Without it, who would have ever known to make copies.....Thanks DIS!!

this is my first trip to Disney..... we have ordered a package deal, hotel, tickets and meal plan....they said we would use our ID card for everything...tickets, meals, ect. is that the case, or our there actual tickets that I should be getting???

I've always made copies of the old hopper passes, but is it necessary to copy the new MYW passes? Or is the receipt good enough?

Definitely! Before my last trip, I made 3 copies of all our tickets. I kept one copy, gave a copy to my dad and left a copy in our room safe. Luckily, we didn't lose any of the tickets, but at least I had peace of mind in case we had.

Your park tickets and room key are the same and you get those when you check in. You can just copy the receipt you get with your package. HTH :teeth:

Thanks for the great reminder.

I too forgot my tickets one year. Luckily we were spending a couple of days prior to going to Disney with hubbys family and I had my mom Fed Ex them next day to us. But what a great idea in case our scenario is different!

OMG!!!!!!! :scared1: I just know I'm going to have a nightmare about this tonight!!! :sad2:

Great advice - I plan on packing a copy and leaving a copy with a friend who can fax it to me if need be.

Great idea about leaving it with a friend that could fax it to you, I think I will do that as well.

Our passes were bought back in October for a planned Dec. trip which wound up having to be rescheduled for April. I immediately made copies of the receipt (which listed all ticket numbers) and gave them to 3 different family members who are going. I will also take a copy & I will leave one with DH who is staying home this time. I hope I have the bases covered...just in case "the lost ticket gremlin" were to find us...

Thanks for the advise. :sunny: I am glad you were able to get your tickets replaced. I am more glad for your husband as I am sure he would have felt REALLY bad :guilty: if you needed to get new.
