Photo contest? Which characters are rare?

When I was getting my photopass CD made the CM was looking at my pictures and commented on Prince John (from Robin Hood), Max (Goofy's son) and Meeko being rare

I've got a picture of DD with Clopin, from Hunchback (France pavillion)

Also once saw Darkwing Duck at the hub in front of City Hall at MK but didn't stop for a picture.

Just a thought regarding the upcoming photo contest.
My opinion is that if the character appears on a float in one of the regular parades then they are not rare. What do you think?

My other question is are variations (ie Mickey in a Space Suit vs Traditional Mickey) of a character considered a rare character?

The last time I saw the White Rabbit was back in 2003 when they still had the character bus in Epcot. He's one of my favourite characters so I wish they'd bring him out again.

I saw Frozone and Remy and Emile in HS two years ago - it was where they do the Bolt meet and greet now.

Some rare characters for me are Scrooge because I don't go during Christmas, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves - I have a picture with them but the focus was waay off ... and Jiminy Cricket. I later saw that he was one of the characters high-fiving runners as they approached the finish line at the 1/2 marathon back in January. He wasn't there when I went through. D'oh! I think he's the one character I would have stopped and taken a picture with during the race. Oh well
