We want to have a photo taken at Disney World to use as our Christmas card(the kind where the card is a photo and you just select what you want the card to say). Is there a place that does that at Disney World? I would like to take the photo, pick out the greeting, and have the cards sent home so they are ready to be sent out when we get home. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help! We leave on 11/6 for Disney!

I'm thinking of doing the same thing and I'm hoping there are xmas decorations up when we are there. I haven't heard of any on site places at Disney that do this. You could always take the photo at WDW and if you have a digital camera, you could upload the pics and create cards at various sites like ofoto.com, etc. (Ofoto has cute ones!). Or you could have them done at the a photo processing place, like CVS, etc.

That's what we're planning on doing. We'll have a nice cast member take our picture in front of Disney Christmas decorations, then when we get home I'll order the cards from Target photo.

I used Kinkos last year and the turn around time was a day. Price wasnt bad either, I used my own photo and they had several types of cards to choose from.

I read somewhere that WDW will start offering the option to buy your official photos online sometime after Thanksgiving. Whether you can order files online, or just place your order for your hardcopy online, I don't know. Still nice to not have to decide whether to buy while at the park. They probably will sell more shots if we don't have to wait in another line to buy them!

As for online services, we've used Ofoto for our Christmas cards for three years and are very pleased with them.

This is just a suggestion, but we wanted to take a picture on our October trip to use as our Christmas Card (and of course there were no christmas decorations up then), so someone told us about the Christmas Statues in Downtown Disney Marketplace. They are on the parking lot side of the Christmas store there, and it made the cutest backdrop for our picture! It's a semi-circle of Christmas statues (Mickey, Goofy, etc) and there is a banner above them that says "Merry Christmas". We bought Santa hats with Mickey ears at the Christmas Shop, then took our 2 DD's pictures in the hats at this location. It was nice, because it's a "Disney" picture, but we didn't have to worry about a bunch of people in the background like you would if you were taking the picture in front of the Castle or Spaceship Earth, etc. You might want to check out this location.

Thanks to everyone who gave their input! I am going to check out the suggested site near the Disney Christmas store and see how the "professional" photos turn out and go from there.

I do have one question about ordering the photo cards on line, what do you do if you have a problem with them? I have had problems in the past with places like Walgreens and Rite Aid and had to have them redone so I am a little hesitant to do it online. What does everyone think?

Thanks again!......less than 24 hours until Disney!
