If they actually charge you, just call in a few days and they will remove the charges (or stop by the front desk if you happen to go there).. don't worry, stress out or get anxious. disney will refund you and enjoy your trip. I've been refunded for much stupider reasons like "I just didnt' want to go there anymore" without hassle.
+1 what Accident said . . . if you have a legitimate reason for missing it, and not being able to cancel in advance, it will be no problem. I missed an ADR once because my car broke down offsite, and the tow truck took . .. . HOURS to get there to pick it up. I called to cancel, but it was literally just a couple of hours prior to my reservation. It was absolutely no problem though, I was not charged for missing it.
Modify it to another day this week. Then cancel it. It will let you do that- trust me. (When I booked an adr for September it defaulted on the confirmation to that day instead and I confirmed it. I was for 6 hours from then. Phones weren't open yet and it wouldn't let me cancel it. So I modified it to the next day- then cancelled it)
Thanks so much for the advice and encouragement! Concierge took care of it with no problems when we arrived. Then we had a fabulous CM give us 3 anytime, any ride fastpasses at MK since we missed everything we had planned. It was a great ending to a frustrating start.
