My other DVC friend and I were just talking about this - maybe you all can help us out.

Our first trip home there were no "dialing out" phone charges - they said they were waived because we were DVC members. Second trip, I think they said the charges were reduced because we are DVC.

Has anyone had any experience with this? And are you charged for calling to another resort (ie, We are at OKW and want to call guests at the Boardwalk?).

Any help appreciated, we all arrive on Sunday :)

We pay 35 cents for local call (dial-up internet) and the 1-800 numbers are free if I remember correctly.

It seems to me that we've had inconsistent charges on phone calls as well. We don't make a lot, so it's not an issue. We do use the toll free dial out for my computer, and they didn't charge for that. Not sure about local calls. Cell phone "no roaming, unlimited long distance" plans have made the need for that pretty much obsolete for us.

Have a great trip! :)

our last trip we were charged .35 per call. Regular charges are .70, but since we're DVC members it was 50% off.

We only used the phone line a couple of times for dh to log onto his work system.

For calls within WDW, including resort to resort, dial the operator and ask to be connected. You will not be charged. 800 numbers are also free. Local calls outside of WDW are 35 cents. For long distance calls, the normal expensive surcharges apply.
