Phone booth in Epcot...

Maybe just the center phone works? Both the others went right to a "fax" sound for me.

I can't wait to try it again!

I am nervous too. I called the right side but just got a fax machine tone. Will try the others later.

My Daughter is currently on the phone with someone from Panama. This is the funny thing ever!

So cool. Just talked with someone from Texas on his first day of his vacation and he said it was cold there. By the way, I connected with the center booth as well.

How much fun! I just added this to my scavenger hunt for my family..... Thanks for the info!

WOW!!!
Just when I thought I was a Disney Know It All, I found this thread :lmao:
I may give it a try this weekend or next week.
I never knew they worked in all the years I have been going to Disney!
Thank you VERY much Robo!:cheer2:

I just tried the center booth and it worked. I asked if Mickey was there. They told me, "I don't think so..." and acted like I was an idiot for calling. :(

A few nights ago my teen daughters called the center booth and impersonated Cinderella. A mom answered and was very amused. She put her daughters on the phone who proceeded to ask to speak to every Princess that Cinderella had at the castle for tea that evening. My daughters had a great time, handing the phone back and forth, gushing thank yous as the little girls (who were soon joined by a little cousin) declared to each "princess" that she was thier favorite. The mom was cracking up in the background. After a good 15-20 minutes my daughter (by now Ariel) said she had to go because Prince Eric was coming over and she wished everyone a magical evening, told the girls to be good and enjoy the fireworks and hung up.

Then I started to feel guilty, thinking it was probably not very nice to impersonate Disney employees. So I told them if they call back they can't pretend to be any characters.

:confused:Am I over reacting?

I don't think it is that big of a deal since the Mother was laughing about it.:)

However, knowing Disney,I don't think they would approve since the "representation" of their characters was being made on "their" phone in "their" Park.:)

Yeah, that's exactly what made me feel guilty. It's kind of icky. But my DD didn't know what to say when the lady asked who was calling, and we didn't think it through ahead of time.

I told them if they call again to just be a non-Disney character and say "it's Kristy, the phone booth girl" or something generic like that.

Ok - this is TOO COOL! :cool2:

I am so calling tomorrow. What fun! :goodvibes

I wouldn't worry. Disney must know it's a working line....just think of what other types of calls they could get.

Just had a nice conversation with Arlene from Illinois on the center phone booth! How fun!!!:thumbsup2

OMG How do you know this??:goodvibes

The same way that YOU now know it.

I read posts on the DISboards. ;)

The possible difference is that when I find out something new that I might need again,
I put it into my files for future reference.

I'm gonna write this number on the rest room wall...!

"For a good time, call Mary..."
