Phone App for the parks

Has anyone bought and used this app? We'll be going twice in a 6 month period (which is how long it's good for), and wondering if it's worth the $10.

Anyone tried it and love/hate it?

If you're referring to Disney's Mobile Magic, which is for certain Verizon phones only -- we used it in December and again last month.

The wait times, FP return time, etc. are 100% accurate.

We didn't use it a whole lot (too hard to read the screen in the bright sunlight), but it was definitely worth the $10.00 for the 2 visits.

It is not currently available for Droid or Blackberry. I have the Motorola Droid and dh has a blackberry curve but we're currently considering getting it on DD's phone if it's not available by September.

For Droid, there's the ridehopper app that free. It has wait times for lots of different parks, not just WDW. The times are user entered times, not official. There's also the Lines app from Touringplans.com. I think it's 8.99 for a year.

I use the Lines app on my Droid and it works great. Its more of a mobile website then an app, but regardless it is a fantastic tool to use. Even when you're not in Disney but want that little taste of the park.

I had it for my Envy Touch and LOVED it But now I have a Blackberry and I am hoping they have it for BB by November

I had it for my LG Dare, and it was great. I forgot to use it for character meet-n-greets, but the ride wait times were awesome! The only downside was that you could not check for waits in other parks, and in my case MK wait times while on the boat from WL to MK.

I have the touch screen droid and just got a free app download, it is called "ride hopper lite" the full version has more parks and things but the lite free version has all of the WDW parks.

OP, thanks for asking this question. I have two trips in 6 months and wondered the same thing. Verizon finally made this app available for my phone and I downloaded the free trial the other day. I had so much fun with the trial, that I decided I would spend the $10. I'm glad to hear other people have used it and found it worth it. Solidifies my decision to purchase the app closer to our trip in May.

I have the touch screen droid and just got a free app download, it is called "ride hopper lite" the full version has more parks and things but the lite free version has all of the WDW parks.

I actually do have that, but I've been keeping an eye on DL (we head there next week), and there don't seem to be many users updating the times. Many of them are "estimated" or updated 40+ mins ago.

I'd love for mobile magic to come to the droid so it's official Disney info, not reliant on user submissions..

How is this application? I haven't gotten it b/c I don't havea book or account...but would be willing to if it's more reliable than the ride hopper app

Our vacation ends today. We used it all week while we were here and found it extremely helpful. Though you can't see the exact wait times for parks you are not currently in, it does give you an idea of wait by telling you what the demand is for rides at those other parks. It was also helpful because it listed the daily weather as well. We found it to be well worth the $10.

I have an Envy2 (Verizon) and I just downloaded the free app. Mine didn't give exact wait times or FP times. The waits just say "see now" "moderate" or "high demand" and the FP just says "Available" "Limited Availability" and "not available"

Did the one you download have more detalis?

Yes, it gives you only "See Now" etc. when you're not in the park. When you're in a park, you get exact wait times, FP times, etc. (but for THAT park only).

I'm assuming you're referring to Mobile Magic, but it isn't free. It's $10.00 for 6 months.
