I have been attempting to speak with a live person at Disney to find the answer to these questions but have had no luck. Can anyone advise me of an extention or direct # to speak to a person instead of a recording to answer the following questions.

I want to pay off my DVC loan with Disney (doing the home equity thing), after doing so I need to remove the co-owner from the deed. What is the process for doing this, does Disney still have to have the 30 day right of first refusal? Will this process effect any current reservations?

When I go through the list of buttons to push to member services all I get are recordings, I know there are some live people that work there besides in member accounting.

Any help is thanked,
Steph

Member accounting is the likely place to start, especially for information about paying off your loan.

They can direct you to Member Administration to assist with your other questions.

You will often need to wait to get a human response- especially on Mondays.

Good Luck!

Doc,

I have no problems getting to talk to someone in member accounting, but when they send me to member administration all I get are options that take me to a recording and I'm not sure which options I need to choose (transfer or sale) and there are no options to speak to someone. So I picked one of them and left my info but I think they are just going to send me a packet but then I don't even know if I'm getting the right stuff.

I had spoke with a woman named Kathy Towler about a year ago and still had her email address but after a week no response from her and the email did not get returned to me so I can assume it went through ok.

To remove a person, you will need to do a new deed. Cost anywhere from less than $50 to over a $100 depending on the route you take. If you just take your deed and do all except without the name of the other person, you're just looking at the recording fees. A Lawyer that does deeds usually charges about $100 for the deed plus closing. If you're doing a home equity, why to you need to remove the other person?

Dean,

So that other person is no longer part owner of my DVC that I am alone paying for. A parting of ways you may say.

I wondered about that but the message seemed to tie the two directly together and I could not think of a direct reason. Good luck.

You may need to have the other person sign off on the document if they are already listed as an owner and any money has been paid. I doubt you can just have them removed without their agreement.

Good luck!
