So where is the actualy "Phone a Total Stranger" Phone from WWTBAM? Is it just right along the studio, or someplace totally random?
Just something that I've been curious about.

~ Chris

It is outside of the studio. Usually a CM will ask you if you want to be the "stranger".

My hubby was the 'stranger' on our last trip. He didn't know the question but the contestant guessed wrong as well, lol. Hubby got a "I was a complete stranger" pin for participating. It was pretty cool!

When we were there in October 2002, the phone was by the fastpass machine for WWTBAM.

DD and I were standing there debating whether or not to get a fastpass or get in line. The CM asked if one of us would like to be "a complete stranger". Can't remember exactly what he asked.

It wasn't something I was comfortable doing, but too fun to pass up the opportunity. I love my button!!

I made it into the hot seat early in January, and I was screwed over by the Phone a Complete stranger Lifeline. They didn't know the answer, and it was at the 32,000 point level too.

I was a "Phone stranger" for a million point question!!!!!!:D It was during my college program in the spring of 2002, I forgot the question.... But i guessed... and they went with me...... and it ended up being wrong :( It had to do with a baseball player, and the correct anwser was Lou Gared (sp?).... yeah... I ran away pretty fast before the mob came out and got be for giving the wrong anwser

My husband was a complete stranger during our trip in Sept 2002. They had a couple of locations where you could be a stranger. We happen to be on a tour of the studio when we were in the observation area to the show and the phone rang and the CM ran to it and said "Who wants to be a complete stanger?" My husband was the closest so he said yes!!! They got the question right and my husband got the button too!!!

The phone a stranger missed our question (125K). If this stranger had been up on thier Monty Python trivia we may have gone on a cruise.

CindyB, too bad my hubby wasn't your stranger. He's a Monty Python nut!! His question had something to do with architecture and he had no clue, lol. You would've won a cruise? I didn't think they gave real prizes. I thought it was stuff like a jacket and pins and little stuff.

I got in the hot seat in January. It was awsome! You get a pin for each right answer(as long as you dont lose it) the pin has the WWTBAM Play It logo, and the point level under it. If you get to the the 1000 point level all the pins to that point are yours to keep and you get a nice hat with the logo on the front "1000" on the bill, and "I was a winner at WDW" on the back. If get to the 32,000 point level and get that right you get all the pins up to that point and a nice polo shirt with the logo and 32,000 pts on it and it says "walt disney world" on the sleeve. If you get to the million and get it right you get all the pins and a cruise for 4 on the disney ship. I lost going for 125,000 with my 50/50. I had a 1 in 2 shot and I guessed the wrong one. It would have been near impossible to get the last 3 with no lifelines. But I would have loved to at least see the questions. (and know that it was impossible) I love trivia and loved playing the game.

My phone a stranger guessed right, but I had wasted it, because as the host was talking to him I realized what the answer was.

I got 10 different pins, an lanyard, the hat, the polo shirt and a 1099 form for next years taxes for $170.00.

Wow! I always skipped this attraction at MGM because I don't particularly like the show. I may have to try it this year!

I'm sorry, Slacking, that I blew it for you but I really did think that Alice Cooper was a female politician.
