I'm going on Friday too, right after I see Twilight at the first AM showing! :)

Look for me with the little boy in the stroller. Don't be shy say hi! I'll be the crazy lady with a ton of stuff!

OOOH! I'm so excited! I can't wait to check it out...oh and get this...DH is actually wanting to go with me! Yay for Christmas shopping on sale! :cool1:

Did not see any one had posted going...well...we just got back.

The store is just South of Peoria - on the East side of 28th (where 'Pier One' was located).

They have a lot of clothing items - mainly shirts and lightweight jackets/hoodies. Many of the current items are pirate, high school musical 2 and Disneyland Resort items. You will find some Halloween items...costumes, mugs and knick-knacks.

I will say...the store appears to have been opened very quickly. It's not in a finished appearance you would call a normal 'disney experience'. It's absolutely not - 'shopping on Main Street' type of store. You will find - 2 x 8' boards on top of plastic buckets...with merchandise stacked on top. Some of the items are still in boxes and people are starting to go through items - it appears they 'ran out of time' to display everything. Am sure as time goes on - things will improve.

The persons working at the store...are...FANTASTIC. All I spoke with are very nice and 'still' cheerful (working in 'retail' during this time of year must be exhausting...getting worse as it gets closer to the 'December holiday'). Check out...is not 'circle K' quick (I may have went at a bad time - 6pm). Did see a few people...with arm fulls of items...stocking up for holiday gifts.

I expect we will return...and hope to see if new items are offered. We really-really miss the Disney Store that closed at Metro Center...and do not like the merchadise currently offered at Arrowhead. Am hopeful that when Disney takes back (if they haven't alread) the retaill locations from Children's Place...we can expect some improvement - please.

hope this helps those planning to go.....k

Well I went today! And wow was there a lot of stuff. Mostly clothing. I loved the disney music playing overhead! That was awesome. We are leaving wed. for DL, so I stocked up on a pullover sweatshirt and LS shirt for me. My 2yr old son got a zipped up DL Resort Jacket, a nemo baseball and a star wars vehicle, mickey red crocs and a SS DL Shirt. My 5 year old girl got the Princess DL Resort pink jacket. We had this once before and sadly it got lost on a trip in April!! So now we have it again in the next size up! Got a Mickey Halloween mug. Wanted one when we were there in Disney 5 weeks ago! It was a good trip and only cost me $103. It could have cost much more in the park.
sadly I wanted to get a Pullover for hubby but they had no mens selection at all!!!

Sounds like you had a great time. I just wanted to say, that when I used to live in DC, we had a permanent Disney Catalog Outlet store (this was in 1997). It looked exactly as you descibe. Bare walls, things in boxes, things piled on what looked like folding tables. The only 'fixture' in the whole store was a glass case where the registers were that had more expensive collectables and jewelry in it. I think this is just the decor of the outlet stores since I've also been to a 'traveling' outlet store also. Again more of the same. I must say, it adds to the excitment for me, becuase you just never know what you will find with a little digging. It's like your very own treasure hunt! pirate:

For those of you in Arizona....

The Disney Warehouse is still open, as a matter of fact, it was receiving a new shipment from Disneyland today!!! My wife and kids and I spent about $40 in there the last time and we got a lot of nice stuff.

The store will be open until the 29th of December, so if you haven't had the chance to look, take advantage of it. It is well worth going and seeing, and the price you just can't beat them.
