Philly Airport Questions

Flying out of Philly for the first time next week...just a few questions?

-What terminal is US Airways?
-How long to allow for security check...I have an early flight 7:55am on Sat. Aug. 21st
-What are the restaurant facilities like in the US Airways terminal for breakfast or can we get something on board?
-Has anyone done the Park and Fly packages...we are staying at the Sheraton Suites Friday night and leaving our car since we have an early flight.....

USAIRWAYS is in Terminals B & C in Philly.

I would figure on getting there two hours before your flight (at least). Philly security is known for being a little slow but the really long lines are usually for leaving the states.

I highly suggest using the sky caps to check your bags. It's much quicker and really is easier.

You ave to pay for any meals on-board USAIRWAYS now. There are some shops and stands after you get through security and going towards the gate but depending on which gate you leave from there may be nothing around you. We always get a family member to drop us off so we've never done the park & fly. Don't forget about online check-in - 24 hours before your flight you can print your boarding passes.

We're flying out in the afternoon on 8/21. Can't wait !!

I can not tell you about the food selections because we always get muffins from Dunkin Doughnuts for our breakfast on the plane.
We had a 7:20 am flight with Airtran this past June, I did the pre-boarding on line. We got to the airport around 6:00 and this was plenty of time. I was nervous because I really like to get there 2 hours before, but we got a late start, but the hour and 20 minutes was fine. There were 7 of us and we got through security in plenty of time to get a cup of coffee and sit and relax before our flight.

B & C, but once you clear security you can get between them without having to reclear security.

PHL in my experience is one of the worst. Allow minimum 1 1/2 hours. Early flights make no difference, if anything the lines can be worse.

Tons of places to grab a snack, in fact there's a nice "Starbucks" type place right after you clear security.

We did it at the Hilton, it worked out great.

Hey there Jackson, Toms River here! Give your self enough time to go through security. Airport security in Philly is let's just say they should have a 609 are code. We just flew US air in June and the dumb broad at the metal detector let my 2 year old run through and would not let me go get her. I was about to breech security because she wouldn't get her either. She was letting her run away. Hot S#*T! So I don't wonder why they have so many security breech's in Philly now. Would be nice if they hired someone with at least half a brain. I wass screaming and got the other gaurds attention who gave her the ok to let me go through.
Everything other than that was great though.
