DH and I thought we saw something recently on a breakfast "package" that included preferred seating at Mickey's Philharmagic. DH seems to remember it being offered at Tony's. Anyone have any ideas on what we may have seen?

I believe that is the Magical Gatherings breakfast for folks doing the Grand Gathering stuff. Here's info from the Disney site:

Grand Gatherings
Exclusive Experiences
A Grand Gathering is a group of 8 or more (ages 3 and up) staying at select Walt Disney World® Resort hotels. Once your group qualifies as a Grand Gathering, you can join other Grand Gathering parties for these exclusive events.

Good Morning Gathering
Begin your day with a Magic Kingdom® morning filled with special songs and fun for kids of all ages. Here, classic Disney Characters join you for breakfast and fun at Tony's Town Square Restaurant. You'll even get some one-on-one time for your group with Mickey himself. Theme park admission is required.

Price:
Adults and Juniors - $26.99, Children (ages 3-9) - $13.99 (available 90 days prior)

Schedule:
Please call (407) WDW-MAGIC† for dates and times

Not to be smart, but I don't see any thing about Philharmagic in mom2alix's post. :confused3

Was he perhaps confusing this breakfast with the preferred seating at Fantasmic perk that is available to those who do the Fantasmic dinner package at MGM? Just a thought.

Good Morning Gatherings -- Breakfast with famous Disney characters enters a whole new dimension with this new group gathering served up with plenty of morning merriment at Tony's Town Square Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. Your group will not only meet favorite characters but will participate in song-and-dance numbers. Mickey Mouse makes a one-on-one appearance with each guest for photo sessions. Ages 10 and older, $24.99; ages 3-9, $11.99.

For all new reservations booked for 1/1/06 and later, the price for the Good Morning Gathering has increased to $39.99 for adults and $19.99 for children, ages 3-9. (Price includes 6.5% tax and 18% gratuity.) Any previously booked reservation will not be affected as long as it is not modified. One addition to the event is that guests will be invited to experience Mickey's PhilharMagic, with reserved seating at the very next show after their breakfast.

I took this information from the allears site. Hope this helps clear up the breakfast information.

Philharmagic is never crowded early in the a.m. You can have breakfast almost anywhere and get there before it's crazy. FPs are also available.

Aha! All the infromation!

Wow! That's a huge jump from $24.99 to $39.99!! :scared1:

I was kind of considering this for our June group, but I guess I'll cross it off our list.

I agree. We did the MK twice during our trip last August, and on both days found Philharmagic to be at best 1/4 full before 9:30am. Why? Because all the people frantically rushing around Fantasyland trying to get it "done early" are jamming things like Dumbo, Peter and Winny, not Phil.

To me, this "reserved seating" benefit smells like an embelishment designed to help justify what is otherwise just a rather pricey character meal in a third tier restaurant.
