Good Morning Team: Hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. I had a great LR yesterday. Except for the fact I couldn't get started until 9:30am. That meant I was out from 9:30-11:30a in bright, full sun. It was getting quite warm out there. Anyway I did 12.2 miles in 1:52 min (I discovered my iPOD has a stopwatch, who knew :confused3) for a 9:11 mpm pace. Whoo hoo! I felt great. It's been really different running without the Garmin strapped to my wrist. I just go out and run the pace that feels comfortable. I took walk breaks every 2 miles or so, and still ended up with a good pace. I feel great about it. I gotta get my base built up so I can rest on our upcoming Disney vacation.

Howard- Oooh, sorry to hear about the ankle pain. Hope it's better this morning. Good luck with the 5K. Have fun. Is Cam running with you?

Jodi- Great job on the 7 miles. You go girl! Nervous dad for DD10 princess: overnight camp? No way! Hope this doesn't come across the wrong way, but DW and I were really enjoying having some 1 on 1 time with DD7 pooh:. It doesn't happen too much, and it's nice to just be able to have a day focusing on our youngest. We took her to see Horton Hears a Who, got pizza, played Disney Scene It, and she slept in our room. It was nice.

I'm hoping I can come down to that meeting at the Contemporary and stay for the Yakking Yeti. I want DW to come down on Friday too and we can have a grown up getaway. The Cool Aunt in Cleveland said she could come out and watch the girly-girls for us. So we'll see how it goes. And yes, I'm leaning strongly to saying I already have plans in November so I can't go to that conference. I think they could send someone else this time.

Did you listen to the DIS Unplugged e-mail show? ;)

Where's everybody else? :confused3

Howard,

Good luck with the race this morning! Happy Birthday too!::yes:: Hope that ankle starts cooperating.

Dave, oh, I so hope you can still run Philly. I can't wait to see all you guys again, :thumbsup2 even if I am just walking the marathon. All of you will wait for me at the finish line, won't you?:listen: Yeah on the 12 miles!!!

DoDo, what's up? Do you have your mojo back yet? So when exactly is the Yeti?

Chester, giving blood and running:confused3 ooh, that is a recipe for disaster. I used to give blood before I started running, but now they won't accept my blood because I am anemic. I can't even give the stuff away.

Lou, thanks for heading up our Philly social hour!::yes::

Hey Mikey, where ya been?

HummusSteve, I need some work done around my house. I hear do a little handyman work for all your friends?!?!?:rolleyes1

Sorry I have been MIA lately, this summer has been crazy busy, camps, swim team, swim meets, VBS... We are also preparing for our trip to Disney. My sister and her son are flying down from Canada and meeting us in Disney. This is her FIRST time! It is going to be so much fun introducing them to the work of Disney.:woohoo: They are coming back to NC with us for 5 days so we are preparing the house for our houseguests.

Not a lot of training going on here. :worried: I walk about 15 miles a week with the occasional yoga or cycle class thrown in. I need to start thinking seriously about training again, ::yes:: even if I am just going to walk it.

Later team!

Good morning, guys. Can't stay too long as Bruce is making blueberry pancakes for breakfast & they'll soon be ready!:thumbsup2

Colleen - Good to "see" you here. Your trip down to Disney is going to be loads of fun w/ the "newbies", how exciting. And what's wrong w/ walking 15 miles a week? plus all the othe stuff you're doing? That sounds good to me! We don't have to start training for Philly for a while, right? The Yeti is the night of 9.27. DS & I ar flying in on the evening of the 25th & leaving on the 28th! Yes, of course we'll wait for you @ the end of the Philly...

Dave - Well that's it then, you'll be @ the Yeti running with your wife! Good fun! Glad you had fun w/ DD7!!

Howard - Hope your run went well!

Happy SUnday!

Hi guys and gals!

I am here to post my 5K results from this morning. All I can say is that I am glad I took it easy yesterday. Here is my results:

Miles: 3.1
Time: 25:32
Pace: 8:13

My Splits:

8:14
8:40
8:12

Yes, my DW, Cam,  :cloud9: ran with me (in the same race). She ran/walked with another DIS'er Patty (from the Disney Weddings thread) and her daughter. She did great. I think if she didn't PR, she got awefully close.

As far as my time, it is my 3rd best time ever! :cool1: :woohoo: I have only finished better in two races one in September 2005 (my PR of 24:53) and December 2006 (25:15).

I didn't have any lingering ankle issues today during or after the run either. I am happy about that!

Tomorrow is a day off. I am supposed to XT today, I will be busy cleaning for house guests and packing for our trip to Disney whit coming Thursday. XT will have to wait!

Have a great day! Hi, again, to everyone!

Howard

Happy Sunday all!

How long has it been since I've posted? Lots going on around here. I seem to remember posting about my Wednesday tempo run. I then ran 4 on Thursday, rest Friday, and four yesterday early morning. We had to travel out of town yesterday to deal with some family drama (way too long a story to post here) but didn't get home until 1 AM thus I slept in sort of late this morning and by the time I got up, it was already 82 degrees. So, I'm not sure what I am going to do about running today. I was planning on running 10 miles, but don't really want to do it in the middle of the day. I guess I'll see what it is like around 7 or so (it's supposed to storm). I may just have to accept that I'm not going to be that well trained for the NYC Half.

Oh, one more thing - anyone looking for a spring 2009 marathon? I found out the Pittsburgh Marathon is returning after a 5 year hiatus on May 3, 2009. Growing up in Pittsburgh, I always wanted to run this race, and the old course was one block away from my MiL's house. I think I may try to run it next year.

I am definitely interested in a Spring '09 marathon. I was thinking Flying Pig but could easily be swayed.

Chester - be careful out there after donating blood!

Sara
- It's too bad that you won't be able to run the ATM, but you should definitely not push yourself too soon. As for Philly, Matt is thinking about doing the half instead of the full too.

Howard
- great job on the race! (and happy birthday tomorrow if I don't get back on here!)

Lou - Thanks for being our event planner! Saturday dinner works for me and Matt, but I would also be up for grabbing a celebratory beer after the race, we are going to stay over on Sunday night.

Jodi - I'm getting excited for NY! I think the trip will be more about having fun in NY than about running a good race. I'd still like another sub 2 hour half, but I'm guessing it may not be too likely.

Sara, Colleen, Howard, Dave, and anyone else I may have missed who is going to Disney soon - have a great time! I'm getting really excited about my August trip (Matt's first). AP rates came out last week, and we were able to save over $50/night on a kind bed room. We had to switch from POFQ to POR. I really wanted to stay at FQ because I've stayed at Riverside twice before, but for over $250, I think I'll manage.

Mike - hope all is well and you are absent because you are off doing something fun!

Steve - how is your Achilles doing?

Hey Everyone,

Geeze, It's only been a few days since I posted and now I'm "suspiciously quiet"? Just been busy with normal life. Sorry.

Cindy - Thank's for the Ashburn race link. Unfortunately, I will be working that night. I hope all's resolved with the family drama.

Chester - We went to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History with some out of town friends on Friday. I'd completely forgotten that's where you got your avitar from. Imagine my surprise when I turned the corner and there you were!

Howard - Congrats on the great race! And just think, it's only gonna get better as you go.

Colleen - In my most serious voice: You've got to get over this "just walking" attitude. 15 miles walking is some serious time investment.

JodiDough - Did you save some pancakes for me?? Actually, I think that's what I'll make for dinner. Yumm!

Lou - I hope the business stuff is going well. Still mooching the free pool/boat/other?

Dave - I'm glad you took advantage of the time with your youngest. I've decided to try to spend some 1 on 1 time with each of the girls each week or two this summer. They're pretty nice kids when you break up the pack.

Sara - The 1/2 at Philly sounds like a good plan at this point. Gotta save some for WDW.

Chick Pea - How's the achilles? Has summer made it up your way yet?

Let's see. Since I last checked in months ago;) I've run a few times. I did my first double digit run (10.2 miles) since Cleveland the other night. Haven't really felt hot and bothered to do a real "long run" but have been keeping at it.

There. I posted. Now I can take the rest of the week off.

Howard - Nice job on the 5K!! Looks like you are really getting in shape post-MBA. Maybe over the summer we can find a 5K to run together in DE, PA or NJ.

Dave - Good job on the 12.2. The iPod stop watch can come in handy. That is always my backup when I forget to charge my Garmin.

Jodi - The Philly course is actually pretty nice (I'm biased). Unlike Disney where you have some high-highs but some boring parts in between, Philly was pretty nice the whole way through. You run along two rivers, past all the historic stuff, by the Zoo, and through the most scenic parts of Fairmount Park. Going past the finish line at Mile 13 is the worst part. The best part was approaching "the Mile 20 wall" and having hundreds of drunk cheering fans cheering you on along Main Street for another 2-3 miles. You don't get that at WDW.

Colleen - Looks like you'll have a nice trip to WDW with the Disney first timers.

Cindy - I'll figure something out for dinner before Philly. Once we get closer I'll have to see who we have and what people like. I'm with you on the post race beer. I'm up for finding a pub/bar nearby after the race. We'll get one of those BIG beers that Mike likes.

Mike - Nice job on the 10 miles. I haven't been too psyched about running a real LR lately either. The heat wears you out.

Well, the business deal is moving along. I came to terms with the owner of the company I work for to purchase a number of contracts and assets and go out on my own. As of Monday (tomorrow) I am working for myself. However, I started networking in Philly as soon as Saturday. The pressure is on now.

Got in 12 miles yesterday at a 9 mpm average pace. Not bad considering the heat/humidity was rough and I really wanted to stop around Mile 11. My SIL with a pool lives exactly 1-mile from my house so it is so hard to not want to just stop early and jump in the pool. I resisted the urge and forced myself to run a 9 minute mile home. Then I drove back to her house and dove in.

Have a nice week!

Lou

Hi Guys,

The achilles is feeling better; I'm not going to test it out with a run until next week. It doesn't help that several people have related that they knew people who took months to recover from a similar injury. :headache:

Dave: I definitely think a sub-4:00 marathon is in your grasp; your miles seem to be free and easy from all your posts.

Cindy: That Twilight run looks fun. Nice job in the tempo run; and yikes-82 degrees in the am? That happens here maybe 2 times a year.

Lou: I hear you about running/biking with the bugs. In the past I have doused myself with Off before heading out--always a nice sting in the eyes and a yummy taste when you begin to sweat. :crazy2: I have ruined 3 running watches over the years when applying bug spray as DEET clouds the plastic watch face (You'd think I'd learn).

Howard: Happy birthday! Nice job cranking out the miles and cruising the 5Ks. :thumbsup2

Jodi: I'm with you on the "into Philly Sat; out on Sunday" plan, so a Sat. meet would also be my preference. Wherever Lou picks is OK with me. Maybe those of us at the Embassy Suites could meet up in the lobby and cab/walk together.

Chester: Hope you enjoyed the rest days. I wish I was better about donating blood; it has been years since I last got the sugar cookie and juice after being skewered.

Sara: Good call on going with the Philly Half rather than the Full. I'm scared my achilles may not be cooperative when I dare to hit the roads again, so....you may have another who will join you in the half :)

HummusSteve, I need some work done around my house. I hear you do a little handyman work for all your friends?!?!?:rolleyes1

Colleen: Funny you should mention that. I spent last week ripping out all the cabinets in our kitchen. I'm not crazy enough to install the new ones; I'm just on demolition duty. I did sell all the old cabinets on Craigslist though :thumbsup2

Steve - Turns out that some of my extended family like the idea of going to Maine. So it looks like there will now be 17 in my party. Uncle Joe has a fear of hotels and 2nd cousin MaryLou isn't allowed to sleep outside per doctor's orders so we will all need rooms in your house. Thanks again for the original offer :thumbsup2.

Mike: just as long as your relatives don't ogle my cousin Ellie May in the cement pond; or else they'll have Granny and Jethro to answer to.

Spoiler Alert: Alas, when I mentioned to my DW that some of my DIS-buds may be traveling to Maine for Half/Marathon weekend in October, and that it would be fun to host something, she politely cut me off at the knees by reminding me that the same weekend is DD's Massive Travel Soccer Tournament, during which several inlaws invade our house for the weekend. :headache: However, I am happy to report that I have been given permission to meet up with whomever travels north at an alternate property/dining establishment not currently mortgaged in my name.

Have a great day, all.

Hi Guys!

I've been somewhat MIA as well, sorry about that, but way too much non-running stuff going on:hyper: .

Lou - Nice job on the 12 miles, especially in the humidity:cool1: . Funny, I have a pool in my backyard and NEVER get the urge to jump in it:rotfl: . Thanks for heading up the WISH meet for Philly. A big cograts  on being in business for youself as of today!

Mike - Yeah on the double digit run :woohoo: . I don't think anyone was calling you out on the absense. I just take "suspiciously quiet" to mean a bit subdued for you, KWIM? Not in frequency but in content:bitelip: . I hope you're having lots of fun with the girls being out of school::yes:: .

Cindy - I am sad about ATM but I know it's not realistic for me at this point:( . I was glad to give my bib away so it's a win-win thing. Thanks for letting me know Matt might do the 1/2 in Philly. Don't even sweat a lack of training for NYC with so much else going on. I can't believe Matt's never been to WDW:faint: . Congrats on the AP rates for August:cool1: - it'll be here before you know it.

Jodi - Nice job on the 7 miles  and you'll have to share the blueberry pancake recipe as well:thumbsup2 .

Howard - :cake: Happy Birthday!! Congrats on the 5k and I am way too impressed :worship: with your pace. Glad the ankle is no worse for the wear too. Are you in WDW for part of the trip or is it all cruise:listen: ?!

Colleen - I'll be in the World on 6/29 & 6/30 if you want to have a :drinking1 either one of those evenings:yay: . I'll PM you my cell #. I think you're doing lots to keep your fitness level up, especially with all of the other things you've got going on. Have a blast with the WDW newbies:goodvibes .

Dave - Southwest flies ALB to PIT so that race would interest me but I'll have to break it to my knee gently:hippie: . I hope DD did okay at her overnight camp. We'd love to see you in Philly but I have to say there's no peer pressure:hug: . We all get that work and family comes first. It would be sweet if you could get to WDW in September:cloud9: .

Well, I ran/walked 4 or so this morning and it was okay:bitelip: . Not great and honestly I don't know if I'll ever be pain-free again so I just may have to re-assess my ambitions from this point forward. I took 1/2 Vicodin this morning and I can't function on that stuff so I need to admit the running's no good right now. On a better note, I think I am finally through my mid-life crisis so it's all good:thumbsup2 . My DS graduates from high school on Friday, his graduation/18th birthday party is on Saturday and then it's off to WDW on Sunday:faint: . A new chapter all the way around:love: .

I checked out the 5K results from yesterday. As a 44 year old, I finished in 7th place in my age group. If the race had been today - my 45th birthday (with the same outcome), I would have placed 3rd in my new, higher, age group. :confused3

According to Cam, (DW), this is a benefit of growing older. :rotfl: :lmao:

Thanks for the birthday wishes! The day is going nicely so far.

Maybe I should start a thread about WISH'ers who are turning 45? Hmmm...:rolleyes1

Enjoy the day... happy training!

Howard

Sara
Congratulations and Happy Birthday to DS18!!!. What are his plans for the future?

Steve
Saturday morning I was able to get back into the run of things with a 5 miler. Since I run with a heart rate monitor, I constantly check to see what my pulse is and don't worry about pace. Sunday morning I ran 9 miles. After downloading the data from Garmin, it looked like I added about a minute per mile to my typical pace. I have learned to wait until after a race to donate blood after the results from last years Race for the Taste.

Lou
Congratulations Boss. You have my best wishes for growth and prosperity. Thanks for being "talked" into arranging the Philly meet.
Knowing that our hot tub and pool is waiting at the end of LR's is one of the things that helps me make it to the end. I start out in the hot tub to relax the muscles and to keep the blood flowing and then make my way to the pool to cool down.

Mike
Did you see that I waved to you? I thought you might not have recognized me with my brown loincloth on.

Cynthia, Colleen and Dave
Yah, yah. I thought I learned my lesson last year when I donated the Friday before the Race for the Taste. I couldn't figure out why my heart rate was about 10 beats per minute higher than the level of exertion I was running at. Then I remembered donating blood. Last Wednesday was the first time that I donated a double unit of red cells, but since they returned the rest back into my arm, I figured that it would be o.k. to run an easy 5. I was wrong.

Howard
I'd love to get to have a 5k time like yours. so far the few 5k's that I've run have been treated like "fun runs" and my fastest has been 28 minutes. I'd really like to have an opportunity to see what a real 5k time for me would be.

Jodi
Miranda and I will be at Expedition Everest too.

Have a good week everyone!

Chester
W.I.S.H. Half-Fast Marathon Team

Steve - I made that bug spray mistake once. Now I just try to avoid the woods but the deer flies will still chase me on the highway once in a while. I had one chase me for 3/4 mile last week.

Sara - I think you are being too hard on yourself. Give your knee some rest. Do the pool and work on the tan for a few weeks. You have plenty of time to train for Philly so don't try to come back too soon. As for the mid life crisis...I feel your pain. Enjoy WDW with your family.

Howard - I felt the same way when I ran my races a few months ago after turning 40. I was hoping I would get lucky and win the age bracket. There are some fast old ba$^#*ds out there.

Chester - Thanks. I like the hot tub after LR's too. I didn't think people had hot tubs in FL. I figured the pool water is probably hot enough.

Hey Jodi, Mike, Colleen, Cindy, Dave

No running to report today. Took the day off. I had meetings in Philly in the morning and with my accountant in the PM. In between I stopped by the hospital to visit a friend/business associate who I found out was admitted on Saturday for what they believe is stomach cancer. She's in her 50's and it doesn't look good. That kind of took the wind out of my sails today...big time.

Lou

Lou: Yes there are and I am not one of them! :rotfl: By the way, I'd really enjoy running a local 5K with you. Check out www.races2run.com for local races in my/our area.

I got out this morning...

Miles: 3
Time: 29:39
Pace: 9:53

Splits:
9:24
11:16 ( :headache: hill, soreness, that breathing thing, etc.)
9:01

Have a great day everyone!!!!!

Howard

I stopped by the hospital to visit a friend/business associate who I found out was admitted on Saturday...

Lou: I'm sorry to learn about your friend. It is just never easy when you hear news such as this. Your friend and her family are in my thoughts.

Take care.

Hi Bots!

Mike - Nice job on the double digits. I'm glad you checked in, I was worried that you were just ignoring us & that would hurt my feelings....:worried: But really, seems like you're having a good summer thus far & that one on one time with the girls is just the ticket!!

Lou - Congrats on your business dealings yesterday & so sorry to hear about your friend  Are you following a particular plan for the DL 1/2 or are you just going to wing it? Wish I was going!!

Steve - Ok, ok, so I've gotta get a hotel room, but will you still be able to run with us/me if I do make it up there, or will you be too busy? Not sure I'll be coming, as Hartford is the following weekend & would be much cheaper to run than trekking up to ME. Glad the dreaded "A" word is easing a bit, be careful!

Colleen - Have you left for WDW already?:yay: Try & check in while you're down there, kay?

Dave - I finally heard your voicemail on the podcast!!:rotfl2: I was rollin'!! Somehow I can't picture Pete running a Princess 1/2 marathon, but the tiara, now that's a different story!:rotfl: I love listening to that show! So what's the deal??? Are you doin' Yeti, or what? If you come in on Fri you can go to MNSSHP, too!! And besides, Cindy & Chester will be there, too!

Chester - So excited that you'll be @ Yet!! Where are you staying (setting sail?) and when are you coming in? Is Tracy coming, too? I'm sooo jealous you have a pool AND a hot tub...there oughta be a law, dang it!:worship:

Sara - Congrats on your son turning 18 & graduating H.S.!! Wow, it's a real busy time for you! I'm glad your mid-life gig is waning, now you'll just have to help me through mine! . Go easy on that dang knee & just be happy that you're mobile without too much discomfort, kay?

Howard - WTG on your 5K:thumbsup2 , nice times, man. What IS it with everyone lately? Seems as if there's a serious Need For Speed on this thread! Too bad I can't be a part of it!:rotfl2: Oh well, I'll keep pluggin' along!

Cindy - I'm excited for NY, too:yay: , we'll have to figure out how we can meet, sounds like you'll be busy museum-ing, but perhaps we can hook up @ the starting area? We'll exchange cells when the time draws nearer, yeah? My DH keeps barking @ me about my sub 2 hour aspirations. He wants me to just "enjoy" myself & be happy that I can even run that far! As IF!!;)

Ran yesterday & CT walked today w/ DS. Tomorrow a.m. is a tempoyucky of 5...:confused3 We'll see what happens!

Good night, all! Gotta go walk my dog!

Howard - I'll see if I can find something that works. I'm actually looking at a 10-mile race in Sea Isle City on Aug 2 (http://www.lmsports.com/seaisle.htm). 7 miles of this race are on the beach.

Steve - Thanks for your thoughts. Yesterday was rough. For all the hectic things I am going through it put things into perspective.

Jodi - Thanks. Why don't you come out to DL? You know you want that extra bling bling. No particular plan for DL other than to try to run real fast. I'll be training for MCM and Philly and this will just be a training run. I expect that the heat will be intense and that there is almost no way to train for it. I figure if I run real fast I can get back before the sun gets out.

Ran 3 pretty lame miles this morning. Kept looking at the Garmin thinking the darn thing wasn't working. It was just my legs not working. Walked 3 miles with DW tonight to make up for the 3 lame miles this morning.

Lou

Good Morning Team: Let's see Monday I did my "speedwork". I always have to put it in quotes because it doesn't seem like I'm really going that fast. I did 6x 800m intervals @ between 6:30-7:00 mpm with one lap recovery in between. I was beat by the end of it. Yesterday, I did a really easy 5 mile run. Four loops around my neighborhood with DD7 pooh: on her bike beside me. I actually bumped into a fellow (also named Dave) who I always see at local races, and he joined me for 3 loops. It was really nice just chatting with someone for a while. Turns out he's planning on running the Philly Marathon too.

Today's the last day of school for my girly-girls. Yahoo! Finally. They really like school, but DW and I are certainly ready for them to be done.

Lou- I'm very sorry to hear about your friend in the hospital. I wish you all the best, and you're right about how it does put things in perspective. Good luck with your new business.

Jodi- How'd the tempoyucky run this morning go? I listened to the DIS Unplugged e-mail show on my LR on Saturday, and I was laughing out loud at Pete. Thing is - I can really picture him at the Princess 1/2M in a tiara and tutu. I'm not sure about the Everest race yet. I asked my new boss if I could go to the meeting in September, and I'm waiting to see what they say. If they approve me going - I'm definitely running. Unfortunately, I can't run with DW. She has arthritis in her knees, and it's just too painful for her. However, I'm really hoping she can come down. I want her to be a part of this too. I think it would be fun to go to the Food and Wine Festival, and for her to be able to meet all of my teammates.

Howard- Keep up the good work. Any races in Delaware at the end of August?

Howdy Chester- It'd be great to see you and Tracy again at Everest if I'm able to make it.

Sara- Good luck with the non-running stuff. I know you have a ton going on in your family right now. And I WISH you all the best. It's got to be a very stressful time right now no matter how amicable things are. How are your girls holding up? Wow, you have a lot of life changes going on with DS graduating and turning 18. I hope you all have fun at Disney. I hope you can also be pain free on your runs again. Were you planning on going to WDW in Sept too for the Yeti?

Steve- Best wishes on the achilles. I think you're right in your plan to rest, recover, and let it heal properly. I'm always pretty conservative with my injuries, but I find taking time off and cross-training is the only way I seem to recover.

Greetings Mike- Sounds like you are having a great summer. Enjoy the time with your family.

OK, time to get ready for work.

Checking in before I check out:confused3

Howard - Safe travels to you and Cam tomorrow (Jen & Andrew too) . I love the daily training report and I continue to live vicariously:rolleyes1 through your runs.

Dave - Thanks for your kind words. Things are good minus the lack of running but that is probably a blessing in disguise:confused: . No Yeti run for me in September. I hope your DD's have a fantastic final day of school:cool1: . My girly-girls were so psyched for theirs yesterday:love: .

Lou - :wizard:  loads of prayers going up for your friend. That is really awful and definitely puts things in perspective for you during this hectic time. Don't sweat the small stuff and hang in there!!

Jodi - Get on with the mid-life thing already since you're OLDER than I am:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: . You know I  and I'll be more than happy to help out :hippie: . I'm going to try to walk/run tonight and then maybe Friday but beyond that I figure vacation will keep me moving enough to keep me happy:hyper: . How did the 5 miles treat you this a.m.?

Chester - DD18 is going to the University of Oregon, the last I knew:rotfl: . I have to reiterate about the blood donation pre-LR is a BAD move, even though you already know it:rolleyes1 . I swore off the donations after the last one made me severely anemic:sick: and my doc real mad.

Steve - :wizard: Terribly sorry the achilles is still plaguing you but I would definitely welcome your company in the 1/2::yes:: . Hopefully with a little time and patience you'll be good to go:banana: .

Colleen - I hope to see you real soon;) Travel safe.

Cindy Lou - Where are you? We miss you:worried: .

Have a great week guys:dance3: I'll try to post again before I leave for WDW on Sunday:cloud9: .

Good Almostafternoon all.

OK, let's get this out of the way right off the bat...I woke up a bit late for my tempoyucky this a.m. which puts me in a foul mood directly (5:20 instead of 5). I roll outta bed in a fog, but not foggy enough not to hear Bruce mumbling about my being insane. I get out there, beautiful morning & start to try & kick it in after my first mile. By the end of the 2nd mile I realize that a JodiStop is imminent:furious: . The 3rd mile (8:40mm) brings my mini-loop back to my house. By the time I was "done" I was so pissed off I just jumped in the shower & called it a day. So there, that's how my stupid run went this a.m. :rotfl2: . I may do a few this p.m. to make my brain feel better so I can  myself again!:headache:

Sara - You're in for a busy few weeks, I see...that's good, keep yourself busy, no? I'm happy that you're going down to the World & will meet up w/ that chick from Canada. Have one for me, eh? I'll work on that mid-life crisis thing this weekend, it should be along soon. Sorry you won't be @ the Yeti thing.

Davey - I heard that you were doing your dining review w/ Kevin when you go down in July...that's awesome!::yes:: , you must be psyched. Where are you guys going? I hope you make it to Yeti, too, for a mini-reunion. You can run w/ DS & I, kay?:woohoo: :yay: Summer has arrived for the kids!:cool1: . Man, they keep 'em late up there in NY. My kid got out 6/11 :faint: .

Lou - Might there be room in your suitcase for moi for the trip out to DisneyLand?? . I think that race is definitely on my list for next year...well, depending on airfare & the economy, blah, blah, blah. Looks like there are several races you & Howie can do together, huh? I was thinking about you this a.m., as my mom & dad are off to Atlantic City for a couple of nights for his birthday. My mom walks the boardwalk like a whack job @ some freakish hour in the a.m. No doubt soiling a ritzy casinos bathroom along the way :rotfl: :rotfl2: .
