I dont normally ride the same ride more than once a day on trip but i ride PM 4 times in two days this week.
My favourite ride at DLP. Love the exterior building too.
Is this meant to be the best Haunted Manison compared to the States?
So much detail.
Flippin' brilliant.

as the DLP one is the version I know, I didn't really "get" the Haunted Mansion at WDW (although we still rode it every time we were at MK, more than once, as its still a cool ride there). What do they mean, 999 happy ghosts? Happy ghosts? No no no, the DLP version is much darker and more spooky, the way a Haunted house should be, in my opinion .

I really loved both Phantom Manor and I love Haunted Mansion too! I think that the Manor is more creepy and realistic. HM is more silly, if you will.

My favourite version is the one in Tokyo, I only went on it once, I actually jumped.. twice! :o

Wow. So cool you have been Tokyo. Most people on here says it blows all the other parks out of the water.

The design and theming of everything is amazing! Even the food is Mickey shaped!
We went in August though and the queues were absolutely crazy, 4 hours for Toy Story Mania with fast passes all gone within half an hour of park opening for most rides. The merchandise is the best out of all the parks i've been to (California, Florida, and Paris), its not the same as Paris where its pretty much the same stuff in every shop - and everyone buys something on their trip, most couples and groups of friends were wearing matching Disneyland tshirts ^_^

It was ridiculously hot in August though - 47ºC at some point - so we're going back in September this year when its supposed to be a bit cooler :)

I love disney park merchandise! No doubt i would be in my element over there!

I don't remember the Haunted Mansion in wdw i was 10 when I was last on that but went on the Holiday Haunted Mansion in California and then Phantom Manor and preferred California. I think the creepiness of Phantom Manor was a bit lost on us since the talking in the stretching room was in French. He could have been telling us he was going to decapitate us for all we knew we just didn't get it! lol The holiday haunted mansion on the other hand was fabulous with the Nightmare before Christmas theme :D

I like riding the Phantom Manor listening to the original narration which was done by Vincent Price.

It just sounds so much more spooky with his voice.

I agree that the Nightmare before Christmas version is the best of all. Special everlay apart, US parks had rehabs that introduces 21th century effects without breaking the charm of the old attraction, so I thing they are better at the moment. However I prefer PM in how it is integrated in the area. In the US parks the mansions are sort of unassuming. PM casts its shadow over Frontierland, deliciously spooky.
