I have been contacted by WDW about the PFTS.

I had mentioned to management that the que before the opening and the rush to get plates and tables was not Disney, especially for a $135 event.

They have asked for all input on what we liked and what we didn't like.

I am asking my fellow DISers for your input along with any problem pictures that you my have taken.

Here is our opportunity to make this wonderful event better.

Thanks,

Here is a picture I snapped on the way into the center. My mom and I are both about 5' tall and it we were getting pushed and stepped on all over the place, especially when they were on the way to the left to get plates and glasses. We had never been to party so we did not know the process, luckily we checked in early to avoid the first mob.

I raised the camera up in the air over my head.

The party food was off the hook-I would have liked to meet some of the chefs, but the booths usually crammed with 10s of people waiting for food., It was much to loud and dark for us to enjoy the beverages and food at the same time. We were lucky a group of people let us have their table so we could sit.

I know they cannot have a seat for every single person, but at least have an area with long tall tables, like NY & Chicago delis have so people can at least use their silverware and sip some wine of beer at the same time.

Thank you for taking the time to address WDW mamagement about the PFTS. It would be nice to see some changes. ;)

post this on the podcast board - the board owners hang out there and they all went and hated the setup - they even did a segment on that on one podcast. i'm sure they have LOTS of feedback.

If you post on the Pod board, could you please just post a link back here versus soliciting opinions there alone? I think this is a very interesting dining subject and I'd like to see everyone's replies. I am sure that there are others that feel the same way.

Listened to that podcast, found it interesting (did not see a thread though). I am sending you a PM about this disneynutz, my comments are too long to post. P4TS is one of my favorite events, but there is definately room for improvement regarding crowd control, seating, etc.

This was my first PftS. I agree it was a mob scene. We had heard as such and decided to go to the concert and check in there. We hung to the back after the concert and stopped for a bathroom break but were still in the waiting area long before the doors opened.

As previously stated, I don't need a chair. But a high table that I could set my items down on and cut, sip, enjoy and take notes would have been appreciated. (I don't know which wines I tried and enjoyed because I could not hold my plate, glass and write at the same time without a table.) Lets face it, most of the food items were pretty big mouthfuls, you needed to cut.

We used the stages at times before we were thrown off for entertinment (such as it was - I wasn't impressed.) Some individuals were kind if we asked we could share for a couple of minutes - others had one person guarding them like a dragon! As we were a pair, it wouldn't have been any fun to leave one to "guard" while the other one gathered. We felt as if we spent a lot of time, once we had some food and a glass of wine circling for a place to eat it.

At one point in the evening, we gave up and sat on the floor. We were quickly offered chairs - not the official ones, but ones that didn't match and mysteriously arrived form behind the curtain. They didn't really solve the problem as we could still not hold the plate and glass while we cut and ate.

I like the idea of a leaning table/shelf circling the room. If the wine tables had cards with the name of the wine you tried, you could at least hold onto that and maybe make a quick yes or no for later refrence.

Just my opinions. We enjoyed the event, but for the price a little more comfort and consideration would be appreciated.

I like both of those ideas. I think maybe less people should be allowed, as it is overcrowded, even if they had to raise the price a little more, say to $150.

Let in less people, more tables (they had the room), $100 is a reasonable price.

I wish they would bring back the booklet format from previous years.

I'd be happy to add my voice to the chrous but I'd like to know who you are in contact with so that I may direct my comments to the same individual in the hopes that someone is truly working towards making the event better.

Thanks. :goodvibes
