Any thoughts on staying for 3 nights with DW and DD(3) along with DM, DS and DNiece (3)? Eligible for Shades of Green but concerned about lack of "Disney feeling/theming" especially the pools but attracted to the proximity to the Poly/GF/MK.

Help!

I haven't stayed at PFQ but I have stayed at several other Disney properties, including SOG. I loved our stays at SOG. Its been several years since I was there, but it was so nice. There are Disney movies playing in the children's area in the lobby and I think the pool was in the shape of a Mickey head. There are all kinds of Disney souvenirs in the gift shop too. My daughter didn't miss any of the Disney touches found in their resorts. We didn't really spend much time at SOG - most of the time was spent in the parks, but when we were there, it was very nice. We had a beautiful view of the golf course and it was so quiet. The rooms are also very large too. It used to be the Disney Inn which was a Deluxe Resort back in the day. I believe the rooms at PFQ are pretty small.

If being near MK is important, this is a great place to stay. You can easily walk to the Poly (or take a golf cart that runs between the Poly and SOG) and from there its an easy monorail ride to MK. SOG also runs buses to the other theme parks.

IMHO, it was a great place to stay. Good luck in making your decision!
