I am happy to be alive, but dang I wish they figured this out before I lost my hearing. (I took cisplatin, if you're wondering)

Sonya, hon, I know all about hearing loss.

I know it's a pain in the you-know-what, and it's difficult, but you get so used to it, I swear!

I was born with it...a 'side effect' of the anemia, you might say...
