At least Disney will have extensive safety measures in place. So many people in my area have been at work the entire time while customers refuse to wear masks and practice distancing.

I do feel for them. It’s going to be rough in the parks.

Yep the measures do look good, but now doesn't feel like a good time to be testing whether they are good enough.

Especially after the T Rex incident already.

On top of that, if disney is open, it is going to get blamed for some of the flare up in FL whether they are to blame or not.

Well Math would say they will have at least some blame. There is 0 way for them to open 100% safe. I think the numbers in Florida right now are fairly good proof of this.

Does that 73000 count College Program or not?

I think it's all of them. I think the deal is that all union members need to be called back before they can call in non-union.

I for one am glad CM's are doing this. Their health is important. I hope Disney does take notice of this and does something for those who don't want to work through this.

They already have. Castmembers can stay furloughed if they are called back but don't feel comfortable with going back to work.

There are plenty of PT that would happily take 4000 spots to work. Not going to affect reopening. Hopefully they can find backstage work that will make them feel safer.

They all were - when they got their callbacks (in seniority order) they were allowed to say they wanted to stay furloughed. This lasts until all employees are called back I believe, but @yulilin3 would probably know best.

yes they had to give the reason that they were concerned for their health or the health of those they live with. They could stay furloughed until every other employee in the same position was called back and they would be needed

So further evidence that the CM”s that are signing this petition are acting in good faith, as in, they are really concerned and think it’s the right thing to do.

My only question is are those Active cases, or cases since the beginning of the pandemic? Texas has 114,000 total cases, 69190 recovered, 43,499 active cases, and a total of 2192 deaths...which leads me to believe that that is showing cases since the beginning of the pandemic.
