Hi All -

Just wanted to kick this off and see who joins - I thought we could list our height, beginning weight and goal weight and the method we are using...Here's my stats...

Petite People

anniet 4' 11" 161/115 - Clean Eating/Topsy Turvy
karynnix 4' 11" 136/115 Nutrisystem
jbucci 5'0" 160/110 working out and watching diet
Iggipolka 5' 3" 141/130 Nutrisystem/Weight Watchers
MelanieC 5' 2" 173/ Sparkpeople
Tiggerspal 5' 0" 187/ Bistro MD

4'11'' 136/115 Nutrisystem

Started on Nutrisystem this past Wednesday. Food is okay, but not the greatest. I am learning portion sizes and counting calories. I walk 3 miles at least 4 times a week. I try to walk everyday, but it doesn't happen sometimes. I had been stuck at 136 for the past 2 years, but recently, have gotten out of control and gained. I am back down to 136 since starting Nutrisystem, and hope to keep seeing the numbers drop! I have weighed as much as 170 (in 2003), and as little as 122 (in 2004) when I was attending Weight Watchers.

I'm in too. My name is Jen, I'm 5' 0" currently 160, goal 110.

I'm trying to train for the WDW marathon in Jan (I just did the 1/2 in Disneyland this weekend :cool1: ),so my exercise is mostly jogging but I want to add in some weight training too. I'm also going to try harderr to watch my diet- less eating out and more cooking decent food at home.

5'3" currently 141, goal 130. I was on Nutrisystem December - April and dropped 30lbs. I've gained 11 back and now I want to get back on track. I'm doing a combo of Nutrisystem and WW. I'm also going to be running the half at WDW in January, so I'm working on increasing my walking to running. :)

btw: If you are doing Nutrisystem, check out their message boards on the Nutrisystem site. The people there have got some awesome ideas for how to make the food taste soo much better.

Hi everyone! I have been on Nutrisystem for a week now, and have lost 2.8 pounds! I like the program, but am looking forward to eating my own food. The food does get a bit tedious.

How is everyone else??

Hi Karyn -

Good for you!!!! Do you think the transition will be difficult or does nutrisystem give you support for that?

I'm just jumping back on the horse. I'm trying to eat clean and I have a friend who is a holistic nutritionist who gave me a plan that I'm going to start on Monday. I wanted to start today, but I'm in the middle of finals and with work and all too I can't gather everything I need right away.

I'll be posting a journal on the journals board probably starting Sunday even though I won't really begin until Monday!

I just wanted to check in and say hi. This week has actually been going fairly well. My legs are recovered enough from the DL 1/2 marathon that I ran 2 miles last night and walked another 1.5. I've been pretty good about my eating and was actually down a few pounds on the scale today. :cool1: We'll see how the rest of the week goes...

AWESOME! I could barely walk after the WDW 1/2 (a few years back)

WAY TO GOOOOOOO!!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :yay: :yay: :woohoo: :woohoo:   :worship: :worship:

I am hoping that transitioning back to "normal" food in a few weeks won't be bad. Starting the NS was very difficult. I had migraines something awful. The food is good, and I'm losing weight, but it has really gotten tedious. I'll keep up with your journal!!

Thanks! I'll be posting Sunday night (I'm going shopping Sunday) I can't wait to start. It cycles Carbs, but it's also a very clean diet, so some of the things I need I don't have in the house yet, but I will from now on!:)

I was in NS for a few months and had great success with it. The food as it is, isn't very exciting, but check out the NS message boards for recipes that make the food amazingly tasty. Some people are so creative!

Transitioning to non-NS food has been a challenge for me and I have gained back 11lbs. If you call NS, they will provide you with a guide for the transition, which I now have and has helped a great deal.

Congrats on your loss! :)

My DH is doing NS with me, and we are going to try soups and the little "Lunchbucket" type meals for lunch. I think I have my body retrained to believe that I don't need 2 pounds of food for a meal to be full. I do miss cooking, though!

How are all the petite people doing this week?:cool1:

I started my journal yesterday. I thought I'd start it Sunday, but I spent 14 hours writing final papers for school uggggh!:scared1: Thank God that's over!

Anyhow, I'm very excited! I'm taking this one day at a time, and yesterday went really well! I wasn't hungry at all....now on to day 2:)

Hello again. I had a really good week, I'm not sure what finally clicked, but something went right. I stuck to my diet and whenever I was hungry I grabbed some mini carrots. My weight actually went down

I'm proud to say I was 155.4 this morning so am off to a good start.

I'm not sure if it is motivating or just frustrating, but we had a new person start at work this week who is also petite at around 4' 11.5". The frustrating part is she has a 7 month old and she probably doesn't weigh 100lbs soaking wet.. oh well, maybe some day I'll look like that too. I know it's not about weight, its about being healthy but looking good would be nice.

Well, my weight loss plans just got put on hold as I'm pregnant! :cool1: I'm continuing my cardio and weight training, but am focusing on eating healthy rather than loosing weight. I'm still planning on doing the half-marathon in January, but I'll be walking rather than running. ;)

Hey AnnieT -

How are you doing???? Nice to see you here at WISH, or wait maybe it's me who has been missing in action here for a while. Either way -it's so great to see you !

I'll join

I'm 5'2" and I weighed in at 173 today (OMG where did that number come from) - I've got to get a handle on this today!
I do calories and log them on Sparkpeople.

Iggipolka - congratulations that is terrific news! Woo hoo!

J bucci - congrat's on a terrific week. Woo hoo! Your right, sometimes it just clicks. I need to hear some clicking in my head too! I really need the clicks right now!

Congrats on the pregnancy :thumbsup2 and huge kudos for sticking with an exercise program despite being pregnant-- you'll likely feel better and have an easier pregnancy because you'll be in good shape.

Yeah, gotta love the ones with high metabolisms!

I stopped the Nutrisystem today. I am so tired of eating packaged food. I did lose 5 pounds, and I do feel better. Now, I just need to continue that on my own. I have done good today. I did sneak in 2 lowfat Poptarts a few minutes ago. Spaghetti for dinner tonight.
