Hi there

I'm lucky enough to have been to the park a few times, and have gone on most of the rides... however I have skipped kid's rides and Peter Pan is one that I'm not sure about.

I'm going for 3 days in April with a first-timer. I love SM, Indy, Haunted Mansion, etc etc so we'll be running for those ones on our MM. Should we invest our MM into trying to get to Peter Pan? At this stage I'm leaning towards no, but perhaps the experts here would tell me different?

PS: I should also ask the same question about Nemo!

1. Yes. Its one of my favorites
2. Fanatsyland and parts of Tomorrowland are the only things open during Magic Morning. So no Indy or Haunted Mansion. Space Mt will be open (assuming SM means Space Mt, if it means Splash Mt then that won't be open during MM either)

I think it's worth your time. It is a favorite of many adults, including me. I also love the roller coasters and fast rides, but PP is still a must-ride. At least check it out and see what you think.

I don't think you should miss Peter Pan Flight. Do Fantasyland for the Magic Morning, or at least Peter Pan Flight (always first!) before heading to Tomorrowland. You can get FPs for Space Mountain and Star Tours, as well as Indy and Splash Mountain.

Alternately, you can do Peter Pan Flight for the last ride of the night--just get in line a little before park closing. It's a little nicer at night because your eyes will be adjusted to the dark, but you will have to wait probably 30 minutes or so (maybe shorter if the park is open til midnight). If you get in line right before closing you are not missing park time.

Another adult that loves Peter Pan's Fight (I am not a fan of IASW).

I do not see MM as an investment I see it as a wise choice and Peter Pan as one of our favorites and I am 65.

Peter Pan is the BEST of the Fantasyland dark rides. It is definitely worth a ride! Go there first thing on MM and give it a try. If you really enjoy it, you can hop on a couple of the other Fantasyland dark rides as well. Space Mountain isn't generally too packed during MM, so you can always go there afterward and still be during MM.

I would say that when you are done with MM, grab a fastpass to Star Tours (right as the park 'officially' opens) then you can hightail it to Indy and Splash.

We skipped Peter Pan our first trip, as well, because my kids are older. But we went on it last time and all loved it. It is one of my favorite rides!

I agree, Peter Pan is definitely one of the best Fantasyland rides! It's my husband's favorite of all the Fantasyland rides (I just love them all :)).
We usually devote one of the MM to riding all the Fantasyland rides because we can quickly get through them all and we enjoy them!

Neither of us were not fans of Nemo and put it on our "skip list".

My kids 18-25 and they love the ride..I would get beat up if we tried to skip.

Agreed! That was a learning experience for us, for sure! We realized that there is NOTHING in DL that we are too old for. We mistakenly assumed DL had "kiddie rides" like other amusement parks. Duh!!! Disneyland is NOT like other amusement parks!

There's a reason Peter Pan quickly gets a 40+ minute line. I try to make it my very first ride or very last ride, often aiming for both.

I enjoy Nemo, but maybe next time I'll try the walk through 'Observation Deck' instead of the actual submarine.

After saving for my family to go to Disneyland for a whole year, and after driving all the way from Texas, Peter Pan was our first ride at Disneyland. I had tears of joy streaming down my face during the ride. It was a beautiful moment.

Wow... that is a lot more of a one-sided answer than I would have thought!

We'll definitely head to PP, not so sure about Nemo yet.

To answer one of the early questions, SM was Space Mt but Splash Mt is also an all-time favourite... but that's probably obvious!

When I did my one and only MM back in 1995 (no idea if it was called "MM" back then) they had Indy open. No one at all in the line... awesome.

Hubbie and I are in mid 40's and it is a tradition that it is our first ride whenever we go to the Magic Kingdom. Nemo is a must for us too.

We do PPF regularly, it's a favorite for all of us. :) Nemo is also very ride worthy. It's simply adorable. that said we won't wait over 30 minutes to ride it during the day and what we prefer to do it is ride Nemo last. Get in line at 11:57-59 and wait for it, it's very cute and we enjoy it. Enjoy!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PETER PAN! At 19 it is definitely still one of my favorites and has been since i first went on when I was like 5 ! Definitely one of the best rides in fantasyland! longest line tho :( but worth the wait to go on at least once per trip :)

Kiddie rides at Disney? I can't think of one...I'm been on them all! :thumbsup2

I can think of only two at Disneyland - Dumbo and Astro Orbitor (and pretty much everything in Bug's Land at CA). I ride them with my girls, of course, but doubt I would ride those without them.

My favorite FL 'dark' rides are Peter Pan and Alice. :thumbsup2
