Peter Pan's Flight at rope drop?

It's walk on- at least it has been for us since we have done the dwarfs enough, and my wife isn't a fan of coasters. Everyone still heads to mine train.

Cool. I figured we'd hit Fantasyland first at the MK this trip. My SDMT FP is 10-11, so if we rope drop, we should be able to do most of the area before the FP, I think (MK opens at 8 that morning)

Set your priority list for attractions. Remember- all those people headed to the train are gonna get off and then start getting onto other stuff. The earlier you knock out your priorities, the less you will wait in line.

As long as we get Peter Pan, Small World, and Philarmagic, we're good. No small kids.

If MK opens at 8AM, you plan correctly, you can do a ton of the park by 10AM. Since you have FP for 7DMT, don't do Standby. What we normally do is PP, Ariel, Barnstormer, Dumbo, Teacups, Pooh, Racetrack, Buzz, and maybe Astro Orbiter. That leaves HM, BTMRR, Splash, PotC, JC as the remaining big rides. We FP 7DMT, Space Mtn, and something else. The rest of the time are shows, parades, Castle shows, street performers.

Peter Pan is our usual rope drop attraction. Always a walk on. The crowds still head mostly to 7DMT.

You could head right over to Small World right after Peter Pan. You could then walk back to Philarmagic but I might suggest heading to another more popular attraction like Haunted Mansion before investing time in the movie.

I figure if we go to SDMT toward the end of our FPs, we'll have almost three hours of morning time to play around the Fantasyland area. I may swing over to HM, since it's fairly close to PP and Small World. Luckily, I don't have to go into Storybook Circus, though the Tea Cups is something we've never done before (I know, it's not major, but something to check off the list...lol). Our goal is to get most Fantasyland over with before the arrival of the mass of young ones (who deserve their time) at 10am

Do they normally open the castle entrance paths after the morning show or should we plan to use the path near Sleepy Hollow to get to Pan at RD?

Agree. HM isn't far away from there- and Philharmagic won't be an issue. Robo has RD maps stickied in his map post- looks the suggested path is veer left around the stage, then thru the castle to PP.

I agree with klr. The path through the castle is a little faster, but it's uncertain from day to day how soon it gets opened. I actually take the path through Liberty Square past the HoP. Just about the same as the Sleepy Hollow path, but it's less narrow.
I don't mind having just a bit of a wait at PP, as I can more easily enjoy the new queue, where I'm still discovering new things. But only a bit - usually when I step off the ride, a 15-20 minute wait has already built up.

We were at MK on Thursday. We had an 8am BOG reservation and they held everyone until 9am. There was a line for 7DMT and PP. We were in the PP line and walked onto the ride. By the time we got off, the entire queue was filled.

RD is about the only time I go on PP.
If you are near the front and walk directly to it you'll likely wait 5-15 minutes and a lot of that has to do with people stopping to look at things in the new queue.
I don't like using a FP+ for it as its not a hot ticket attraction for me plus you skip the queue if you get a FP+ so I go at RD to avoid the long line and be able to see the queue.

Even if you are not in the front of the rope drop crowd, you should be okay. So many people rush to 7DMT, that you are usually okay for about the first 10 minutes for PP (by okay, I mean less than a 20 minute wait). We have been there at rope drop, but not near the front of the crowd, and been able to go straight to PP and ride it with less than a 5 minute wait, and then get off and ride again with less than a 10 minute wait. After that first 10 minutes, the line gets long really fast by 15 or 20 minutes after rope drop it is usually 45 minutes to an hour. We always go PP first and then we head to Pooh. Not counting 7DMT (which we FP+ - I'm not sure we have ever ridden it standby), other than PP, the Pooh line builds the fastest. Philharmagic has about a 12 minute running time, so if you happen to enter right after one starts, you are looking at 24 minutes. I would hit all the rides you can before your 7DMT FP+, and then do Philharmagic after 7DMT. For us Philharmagic is a must do- the whole family loves it- but typically the wait there is not bad-- I can't recall the last time the theatre filled up and we had to wait longer than just waiting for the ongoing show when we walked in to end to go in the theatre.
