Today in our local paper, there was a nice section on WDW/DCL vacations. Even though our trip to the world isn't until Feb, the article sparked some conversation about what we want to do and see on this next visit.

DS 6 1/2 shocked me by saying he wants to see Peter Pan. I didn't know he was such a big fan! I can't recall ever seeing Peter Pan in the parks. Does anyone have any suggestions or experiences they can share?

Thanks!

I've never seen peter pan except for in the Spectro Magic parade. But i have read before that he and captin hook were sometimes seen near the pirates of the carribbean! The best bit of advice i've read is to ask a Cast Member when/where a character will be, if they don't know, they will find out for you!

I'm sure you're planning on riding the Peter Pan ride. This ride, IMHO, is the finest example of what Disney can do.:sunny:

The line is always on the long side despite being decades old because everyone loves it. The best part is the ride over London. I always see something new!:earsgirl:

I always wished they would do a "world flight" over many cities like the London scene. I can dream!

Do you know in all my trips I've never rode Peter Pan. Pretty much because the lines are ALWAYS long. It is a must do for our next trip though. I'll just have to FP it.

We have never seen him in a meet & greet either. He is rare, but he is out. Just ask around.

We've seen Peter Pan and Wendy at poc ride sort of in a hall way area after exiting the ride and getting back to the stroller. Also I think he's in the show in front of the Castle (the name of show is lost to me right now) and after the show the characters come out for meet and greet. I've also seen him in the Share a dream come true parade. Or just ask a CM they will be able to direct you to the right location.

We saw Peter Pan near POC last April. He was on a bench near the shop area. His line was not nearly as long as I expect (maybe because he was off the beaten path). If talking to
Peter Pan is important ask as CM to check and see if/where he is that day.

That has been one of my favorite rides, dating back to my many trips to Disneyland as a child (I used to live in San Diego so getting there was easy for my family). I truly think its an amazing ride. Be sure to fast pass it!

Thanks for everyone about the great advice to ask a CM. I never thought about that, but it sounds like they will be the best place to go.

It was several years ago, but Peter Pan was in the lobby area of the castle where we were waiting to be seated for the Cinderella breakfast.

Peter Pan's Flight is one of my favorite attractions at WDW. Be sure to see that. As fan as Peter doing meet and greets, I've seen him a few times at Town Square in the mornings, but not recently. He may still be there sometimes, but I'm not sure. The best place to look for him, however, is outside Pirates of the Caribbean. He also appears in both of the MK Parades (usually) and in the Castle Show as well.

Last June we saw Peter Pan & Wendy in MK over near Exposition Hall. There was NO line, poor Peter Pan & Wendy looked almost bored. But it was great, since there was no line they took their time & talking with my son. He thought that was really cool!

Good Luck on your search

Indeed, he's one of my favorite characters too.

In April, he actually joined us for a boat ride through It's A Small World.....and he pointed out several hidden Mickey's in the ride as well.

We met up with him later over by Pirates where he was giving out autographs. He told us that while he did know how to print his name, if you showed it to him, he wouldn't be able to read what he wrote. :jester:

PPan is a funny little fella. :p

On our trip in 2002, we saw him only once and it was from a distance just inside the entrance at MK. We were headed in his direction, but before we got to him, he was gone. So this year, my niece really wanted to find him. You can go to any CM that has access to a phone (gift shop, resort, etc) and ask them to check with the "chip" hotline to find out if/when/where you might find him. They can only check for the current day (and the chip hotline isn't available until 9am), but it is worth it. They can tell you which park and an approximate time and location. When they checked on Peter for us, they told us that he would be near POC (he was not in the same greeting area as Hook and Smee). He (and Wendy) emerged from a door in the gift shop that you end up in after riding POC, the two of them were chasing one another around posts and obstacles and then stopped for a meet and greet. You could see Hook's greeting area from where they stopped, but they were a little distance away (if you hadn't seen them come out of the shop, you would probably not notice them at their meet & greet if you were in the line to see Hook). If I remember correctly, we saw him about 4pm (it was after the parade). We had asked about 10am and that was the only time they gave us, so unlike some characters that are available for several hours (but with periodic absences for breaks), Peter didn't hang around too long).

Thanks Whozit,

It sounds like I need to get to a CM with access to the CHIP hotline! We will definitely do that.

if your son really really wants to see Pan and you've got some extra moneym to spend, I"d recommend the family magic tour in MK. It's a scavenger hunt/guided tour and it ends with Peter Pan in one of the gardens and the kids get to ride a ride with him. supposedly lots of one on one time with Pan the man....

A few years ago, we went to see the British singing group over in the England Pavilion in Epcot - and over in the corner were Mary Poppins and Peter Pan, along with Pooh and Eeyore. The kids enjoyed seeing them dance a little to the Beatle - type music!

Peter Pan's Flight always brings tears to my eyes! It is what WDW is all about!

I saw peter go by the windows when we were in the castle resteraunt for lunch. If you go to town hall on main street as you come into MK they should be able to tell you where he is that day.

No sign of Peter Pan last week. We did get Captain Hooks and Mr Smee's autograph though. My son loved getting the characters autographs. We got 37 autographs on our trip.

I had never seen Peter before until my last trip in September. I was exiting the POT ride - coming out of the shop and Peter came running up the street and through the shop. I didn't have my camera out, so I started "jogging" in his direction while trying to dig out my camera to get a pic, but didn't make it before he was gone. He is in the afternoon parade. You might could ask a CM when/where Peter is scheduled to be the day you're there.

While Peter is usually the character at the end of this tour, there's no guarentee. You mat get Peter, but you may also get Wendy, Belle, Mary Poppins, Aladdin, or some other character.

Funny thing about Peter Pan... I once heard he is kind of rare to find, but he is one of those chractres that our family has run into a lot. Last trip we saw in in front of Exposition Hall about every day. He was in the vicinity of POC too. And it seems like I recall seeing him in Fantasyland sometimes.
