Peter Pan Queue - Worth the Waiting in Line?

Hi all! I'm a former cast member who is coming to WDW at the beginning of February with my boyfriend who has never been to WDW.

I haven't been to the parks since the new interactive queue in Peter Pan's Flight was built - is it worth the wait to see what they've done with the queue, or should I just go with FastPass like I've done before? I normally enjoy a good queue - Haunted Mansion's is up my alley, but the one Soarin' had was pretty meh, so I know interactive queues can go either way.

Thanks!

Yes it's worth it! I usually get fp but I'm a little sad that I miss the queue. It's beautiful and magical.

Do it at rope drop (or EMH/rain). I liked the ride and the interactions in the queue, but it's not worth burning a FP in my opinion.

Don't wait too late if you want to see the interactive stuff. We rode at about 11 pm one night last summer. The posted wait was 40 minutes but the actual wait was less than 1 minute as there were only about 10 people in line. We walked right through without seeing anything.

You can always slow down and let folks pass you

The was really no one to let pass that evening as Fantasyland was pretty sparse. We still had time to ride 7 Dwarfs once then Space Mountain 4 times before park closed at midnight.

Absolutely! I like to use FP+ early in the day and then go back about 30 min before closing to walk through the interactive queue. So cute!!

It's the only ride that gives you a consolation prize for not using a FP. ;) Definitely use your FPs elsewhere. But I do highly recommend going very early or very late. It's not worth an 45-60 minute wait.

No "interactive" queue is worth it. Disney has decided the best way to satiate the masses is to distract them in line instead of providing more attractions or adding capacity.

My suggestion is to do one or two other things first, then go to PP about 20 minutes after opening. For example, during AM EMH, we have sometimes gone to Space and Buzz first and then to PP, getting there about 25 minutes after opening. Then the wait for PP is about 15 minutes, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the interactive queue without a long wait.

if the wait is 20 minutes that is perfect for the standby line so you can see it. I wouldn't wait anymore than that & I really like the new standby line.

I guess I'm crazy but I'm glad they didn't add capacity instead of building the queue. I would honestly rather wait 15 min in the interactive queue line than walk straight on without a wait. The queue is almost more fun than the ride. I can't say that about any other queue but I do love the Peter Pan one. 7DMT is close.

The queue was nice, but after standing in it for 45 minutes, it kind of lost its luster.......but I am glad I got to see it.

I was delighted to get to go into the Darling house and thought the queue was wonderful. I wouldn't want to wait for an hour for it, but early in the morning when it's not too long of a line I would definitely want to do it again. The attention to detail is wonderful. You really feel like you're going into their house. I will always stop and play and let others go around me rather than blasting through.

I had to laugh the last time we did that. There were people who were stopping to play and so there were some open spaces in the line. A family behind us was getting all riled up that people weren't moving. This was funny to me because whether there are open spaces in the line or not, you all get on the ride in the exact same amount of time, regardless. The line "catches up" before boarding, and there's always a wait there. So whether you are shoulder to shoulder with the person ahead of you in line or if there's a space between you, your overall wait time is not affected in any way. People really get worked up over that, in lots of rides, and it seems so illogical to me.
