Peter Pan Flight Refurbishment until July 1!?

I was reading that Peter Pan flight refurbishment is scheduled until July! When I was checking dates for my trip I didn't see any refurbishments listed for end of June (everything was supposed to be back open) is this a recent extension of the refurbishment?!

Yes, it was supposed to be done in May, for the 60th kickoff, but it has sadly been delayed. It's really disappointing.

Yep it is a pretty recent announcement. On May 1st they Disneyland Resort Blog updated an April 9th post by their SM Dir Erin Glover telling everyone that the new date for PP opening was now July 1.

If I recall correctly, DL version is similar but a bit shorter? I remember thinking that the WDW version was slightly better

It's possible that the WDW version is better than the old Peter Pan (subject to debate), but the new Disneyland Peter Pan with updates will likely be awesome. I'm bummed that we're missing it this trip too.

Really, by better I meant longer. They are basically the same ride.

The new queue at WDW is nice, but the differences are negligible.

We are in DL starting 7/7; will it be open by then
