So...last year the future fam and I really went all out (for us..we're not super creative) for MNSSHP. My DF and her DS went as Mickey and Minnie...his ears squeaked which was a hit for all the princesses. My DD went as Ariel..and I went....as her dad of course. Huge props from many cast members and Ariel herself (she got word from her friend who was Snow White's Prince last year) as King Triton. No....I will not post any pics of my long white beard and mermaid skirt.

So..the bar has been set high and we are going the entire family as Peter Pan this year. DF is getting her Wendy costume custom made and my DD will be an adorable Tink. The hit of the show will be my future DSS as he is going to be the crocodile...so perfect.

Was initally thinking about Hook, but then settled on Peter Pan..and that's where the trouble comes...all the costumes look relatively cheap in the costume shops and after an amazing King Triton costume, we have to have a good Peter Pan costume. Since this isn't terribly original, I'm sure there have been lots of Peter Pans..so where is the best place to get a quality Peter Pan costume...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Since we can never come for the Christmas Party, we have a blast with the Halloween Party. Coinciding that this will be our Wedding Week, we want this to be amazing.

Thanks,

Matt...and fam!

I would try Etsy. There are many talented disney costumers on there, for sure someone could make you a custom PP outfit. It'll cost you a pretty penny though, be prepared to pay $100+.

Thank you Pink Tink...would rather pay $100+ for well done costume than 24.99 for cheap and scratchy from a costume shop.

Etsy is tricky...but will give it a shot.

Thanks for the advice.

Hi we did Peter pan last yr,Luckily my mum is an Amazing at making outfits for us, I desighn them and she puts them together,
My hubby went as Peterpan we even got him to wear Leggings(tights) and my mum made the boots(shoe covers) for him out of felt,It was sooo good that we had loads of children asking him for pictures, even big girls:rotfl2: was wanting a hug from my hubby!!!! I went as Tinkerbell Im 5ft and very blonde i even bought a clip in fringe i covered a corset with velvet and sewed on a skirt my mum then hand stitched ballet shoes with green velvet so i could have matching shoes, my Twin boys 5 and oldest boy 8 went as lost boys but like the film version and we made hats with animal tails hanging down them my mum then made out of felt boots covers for their trainers! and mum went as Smee
We got stopped entering the park to sighn the Cast members book as Tink and Pan then they took our pics as they said they was the best they had seen so far:) (I love to have great outfits so i know what you mean by not looking cheap)......I was so lucky to have a great Tink outfit as coming out of Pirates of the carribbean Hook(The real one)was walking down the walkway, loads of people went over to gt his Pic and autograph but he didnt stop and was playing around shaking his head....he then came over to me and my husband, pushed him to one side and grabbed my hand:rotfl2: He walked me over to the other side of the walkway and kissed my hand:love:
He then pretended to fight DH for me,(they both had swords) and pulled me behind him!!! he was then dragged away by Smee and as he went he turned and made a Love Heart with his hook and hand:rotfl: Luckily my hubby found the funny side,My er 3 boys not so much they was shouting thats daddys Tink hahahaha!!! So i do think if you have a great outfit they really react to it...It made my night, when the Parade was on i dont know if it was the same Hook but he saw my hubby and made a horrified sighn and then waved to me! my hubby played along and shock his fist at him!

I wish i knew how to upload pics as you might be able to copy the outfit!
In all it was quite simple if you have somebody who can sew,It was a light felt green material that was cut into a long sleeved top then cut with jaggered edges,on the bottom and on the sleeves,we then put a coller on it and cut the neck to a low V we made holes in 2 lines down the V and threaded brown shoe lace so it made loop holes and a tie...he wore Leggings but we put hotpants in green velvet on him so he was covered up! we then ,made brown boots out of a stiffer thicker felt that covered his comfy trainers we actually wanted to make it look exactly like the Dsiney charecter outfits so we Googled Peterpan Disney Charecter pics,Im sure if you did this you could see some great pics you could copy!
we finished the look with a Felt belt which we sticjed a pouch onto for his sword! The hat was a little harder but you may be able to get just the hat of the internet,
If anybody knows how to upload pics from their computer files? then i could upload the pic......id like to do it anyways as i Loved them and would love to show others how to do them!

What a great time..that's what we love..not necessarily that we would be lucky enough to get that kind of interaction, but the fun we get as a family from being together in a costume set. Something wonderful like that. Last year, we had all the little Ariels asking for a picture with 'dad'. It's so fun.

I think you can only upload pictures if they are online somewhere..photobucket, facebook, etc.

This is what I am going for and if you have pictures, that would be great and I will also look around Etsy.

thanks for the informatoin and glad it was so much fun for your family!
