We had a great experience with the AP preview this morning. We waited 18 minutes total around 10ish. This is a shorter wait time than when we did rope drop at extra magic hour. The ride is much improved, a lot brighter and more vivid colors. Glad they refurbished this classic favorite.

The PP refurb will have no effect on the typical wait time though, right? It's just superficial updates I though?

How did you find out about the preview? We are going to DL park today and have premium AP's.

Jina, I found our here at the DIS and there's signage by the entrance. This morning we waited 30 minutes. Starting tomorrow, PP will be open to all. Hope this helps.

Disney announced it on the AP social media pages, that is typically where they will announce AP previews/events.

They did management previews on Friday, cast previews on Saturday. We did not get in... :(

Thanks- after I asked I saw another post which mentioned the preview via facebook. We got through the gates at 7:57am, was at the rope crowd right at 8 and after a 10 min wait was on PP! It's definitely brighter now with some minor improvements in effects. Glad we were able to do it today as we leave Fri when it reopens for good and I doubt we would have rushed rope drop fast enough to make it worth the wait. Thanks so much for starting this thread as I would have never known otherwise. Glad we got to take part in an AP perk before our passes expire next month, we live in NorCal so these things are never Nnounced early enough to plan but we were already here and got lucky.

You're welcome. We're in the same boat as you. We're AP holders from SF Bay Area and so far I can count on one hand the AP events we were able to attend. Glad you were able to ride PP with a 10 minute wait.

BTW, how'd you like the surprise rain yesterday? We were watching the Newsboys when it started so we headed back to our hotel and took a much wanted nap.

Loved the drizzle! We would have stayed at the parks longer but wanted to do the parade and fireworks that night w DD5 so instead we went back to HOJOs for some water play and a nap. The cooler temps were such a relief!
