Pete Werner & Mike Francesa long lost brothers?!?!?!?

Relatively new to the Dis Unplugged and I feel ripped off that just discovering them!

Am I the first person to think that Pete Werner is the Mike Francesa of Disney talk radio?

For those of you who don't know Big Mike has been New York's #1 sports radio host going on 20 years. He is known as the Pope and he has authoritative, borderline arrogant tone that draws you in. He is always the definitive voice and always gets the final word. Sound like anyone we know.....

Show idea: When Disney releases quarterly earnings Pete and John only (sorry the rest of you) break down the earnings report. Seriously love your thoughts on disney business world!

so I very much am aware of Mike Francesa and am a proud member of Mongo Nation and one of the admins for message forum bearing his name. I actually find them pretty different though. Pete is much more open and can be humble which Mike never is. I guess there are some similarities (Tom Bell does refer to the Orland studio as the Vatican, and as you say, Mike is referred to as the Pope) - but the attitudes are very different in how Pete seems to respect others opinions much more and doesn't look down on other radio hosts like Mike does

I listen to Francesa almost every day. I must say, it's a comparison that never entered my mind. I just don't see it.

I agree Pete is softer and even is format (round table vs one man band) is much different. But the unwavering confidence is his tone, the always getting the last word, even the drawl in their voice... I might be reaching here but I can't get it out of my head
