I went to a game when he was with the Phillies when he accomplished some kind of hitting record. It was the first game back after a two month long player’s strike/lockout in 1981.

I wasn’t intending to go; a co-worker had an extra ticket and asked me about 2 hours before game time. We had less than desirable nosebleed seats in the outfield.

We saw him when seats were $4.50 and that was really expensive back then. That seat today is $800.00 per game.
At Dodger Stadium trouble always erupted in the stands with Cincinnati fans. We sat were we were out of the battles between them and security and police.

That game I attended we were in the general admission section of the outfield. I don’t remember the cost of the ticket but I doubt it was more than $3.
