Pete....happy thoughts

Pete,
I'm mostly a lurker but I am a faithful Dis podcast listener and I will miss you while your away. Like so many other Diser's have already expressed please take care of yourself and your family.

I second what Dale-Not-Chip said. Without you around to remind us to, "stay out of the d#mn lakes," many may not be able to control the urge to go swimming in said lakes... :rolleyes1

Take Care!

Without you, I may go swimming in the damn lakes!

Take care, hurry back. We will miss you!
love,
Sharon & Craig Smith

See you on the Cruise.

Pete our family wishes you well as you take care of yourself and your family. Hoping your journey brings you wisdom and peace.

Take care Pete, and build up a nice bank of rants to treat us to on your return :)

:goodvibes

We're going to miss you Pete! I hope everythings ok, and sending massive amounts of pixie dust! :wizard:

Please Pete - don't ever change

Listening to the latest show and the grief you get from small minded, jealous competitors - both with Dreams and other Podcasters - well it is only the tall poppies who are cut down because the others cannot rise to be like you.

Even though as an Aussie WDW trips are rare (fancy a DWFB in Australia??), I love listening to your shows just to hear the friendship & support you have in the podsquad and for other disers.

I am all for Pete's rant & rave instead of having to listen to others spend 5 mins shilling for thier sponsor "here buy this lanyard it will change your life..." before every show.:flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

Honestly -- I have no idea what's going on. I've only had a few minutes each day to check the boards due to an out-of-town family emergency.

Pete: Whatever you're doin'...wherever you're goin'...you know we wish you well and look forward to your speedy return.

Hurry back Big Guy!!!

Have a safe trip Pete. Hope all goes well and we will be patiently be awaiting your return. You are missed already.

calypso, I am with you. All I know is I am three podcasts behind right now due to being back at work with the kiddos. I'm starting to listen to them during my prep periods now. ROFL.

Pete, please know we love and care about you. All of our best wishes.

Just wanted to echo Lori's thoughts a few pages back...

We are all one big (strange) family here in the podcast forum! Everything seems off kilter (and I don't mean the band either) when any one of you is missing during the podcasts!

Hoping that everything that you have to deal with goes smoothly and you're back with the squad in no time! Take care of yourself!

Although...I can't agree with one thing that Lori said...I don't do laundry ;)

You're in my thoughts.

Pete - my thoughts and prayers are with you. :wizard: This group is sometimes better than my real family! Wait, what was I thinking. This group is always better than my "real" family. :hippie:

Sending good thoughts, pixies, and all that good stuff your way. Hoping that everything works out for you and your family.

Pete,
Although we have never met I wanted to take a moment and say that taking time for the family is always the right thing to do. With all you do for us in a job you love we will be here when you get back. As mentioned in prior posts the Podcast dynamic will change without the rants and hopefully Will or someone will lift your voice off the last podcast so your “stay out of the dam lakes” comments can close each show until your return. Please take the time to do what is best for you and lean on Walter when you need the support. We are all here sending positive vibes out to you and your family.
Don

Having your family around you in a crisis can be a powerful thing...I've shared with just a couple of you that my sister was near death on Tuesday. We all rushed to her side to say goodbye -- it was the most painful thing I've ever had to do. As we took turns staying in the room with her something wonderful started to happen -- they're were just the slightest signs of improvement. We were still very guarded as the medical staff tried to keep us grounded. I came back home late Friday with a sister that was almost breathing on her own and requesting an Ultimate Cheeseburger from Jack In The Box!!! I truly feel in my heart that it was us showing her how much we loved and supported her that gave her the will to live.

This post isn't directly specifically towards Pete...but to all my friends on this board. If you have a relative that you haven't talked to lately or seen in awhile -- please take a minute to give them a call. I almost didn't have that opportunity with my sister again and will never forget it.

 Gosh Lisa, I had no idea. Paul and I were both worried about you and were glad when you came back. I'm glad your sister is pulling through. You have had one heck of a couple of months. please know you are in our thoughts.

Thanks you guys!!! I really didn't have time to post about it as everything happened so fast. I had actually left our house to drive 3 hrs north to visit DMIL (still in hospital...but improving) when my mom and dad called to tell me about my sister.

It just so happened that the road that branches off in the direction to my sister's was fairly close so DH brought me to meet my parents and off we went. I didn't even have a change of clothes with me.

I really only posted about it now because I understood completely when Pete mentioned about having to take care of family. I can only hope and pray what he is dealing with doesn't even come close to the week I just had.
