Pete, Butter Beer Recipe

^ I think my blood sugar spiked just reading that recipe ! Wow ! :scared1:

Nestles butterscotch chips
Butter
Non dairy creamer
Cream Soda

<gag>

I concur; however, I'm curious about how you think it compares to the real thing. Have you had the butterbeer in WWoHP? Can you tell from the ingredients and directions whether or not this would be an accurate approximation of the real butterbeer?

Sorry...cant help you here.

I havent had the butterbeer being seved in WWOHP.

It just doesn't sound appealing to me, but it could be made with some substitutions - Fat Free half and half and diet A&W cream soda.

I think I will skip it though.

I don't really know about the recipe itself but my fiance and I both had the frozen butterbeer. I loved the top of it, it tasted like butterscotch to me. He told me that I would hate the bottom, he tried it and it tasted just like cream soda to him. He love cream soda, so it worked out great for us! I just sipped the stuff from the top and he used a straw to get to the bottom. Just our experience.

Imagine drinking this recipe in hot weather! yikes! Also, I didn't realize butterbeer is one word! woops!

Thanks for that recipe. My SIL has gone on quite a bit about how good the Butterbeer was at Universal. I sent the recipe off to her in email. I can't wait to hear how she likes it.

I'm sorry, but butter beer sounds just awful. blech!!

Wow-if everyone keeps drinking that butter beer, no one will fit on the ride.:rotfl2:

Well, the most notable difference between this recipe and what's served at Universal is that this recipe calls for it to be served hot, and Universal serves it cold. Other than that, I'm not sure as Universal isn't about to release its recipe. Doesn't look like it would be a close comparison though.

Thanks, Pete! I didn't think I'd heard anything about hot Butterbeer, but wondered if the recipe sounded like what you'd had. I love butterscotch and cream soda, but the rest of the ingredients don't appeal to me. I wonder if Universal will serve it hot in December, when I'll be there (Thank you, again!!).
