I am so glad your floral appt went well. I had 2 different flowers, so also 2 different colors and I think it looked great. Either way, I am sure it will be beautiful.

OK so I'm slowly but surely knocking off to-do projects. Here is my place card mock up. I'm going to put it on off white card stock...A dis-er made the design...I love it!

I think these will be perfect! I had to work a little bit with the size...Those frames can be tiny...but all in all not too shabby.

I've been thinking about this bolero thing...It's really becoming a pain in the rump...I know Bridie1996 did her's in blue...I'm not sure if I want to do mine in red...I am not going to get an even close match to the ivory in my dress...So, what do you think..should I go crazy and get red? The other problem is that if there are any black and whites done...that red will be black in the photo...The shall that goes with the dress is lace...Um not going to work if the weather isn't all that great.. I dont know who thought of that...but seriously???

Any thoughts? Red or Ivory...Let me know what you think!

Even if it is bad weather, you're not planning on wearing the bolero all day are you? I'd only go with the red if you were specifically getting it, so it would be a pop of colour in photos, otherwise I'd get the ivory. I know it wont be an exact match, but if you're just going to be wearing it when you get cold, chances are you wont need it much, maybe just between photos, or possibly when eating

Or if you'd prefer the red for the same reasons, just make sure not to get any of those pics done in B&W.

I don't think the red would look truely black in black and white photos more like a very dark grey but I still think it would be a nice contrast, think of old hollywood movie stars and thier red lips, even in B&W we all knew they were red.

I vote for a beautiful red bolero to go with your dress.

I vote red as well. it will be something fun that pops. Your probably not going to wear it that much. Seriously on the day you'll be running around so much you probably won't remember that you have a jacket. but I think its a good idea to have and will make some nice pictures.

Thanks for the compliments on the place card. I love them! (except for the little scratch on the glass...but on well...can't have it all I guess!)

Ok..So, I ordered my take out boxes for the dessert party...Still need to order stickers for them.
I found one that I really like...but here is the problem. Stickers are black and WHITE or red and WHITE (candy cane) Boxes are WHITE...Problem...colors are all red and ivory (some black where I was worried about...you guessed it...candy canes colors!) So, I've decided to go with black and white and thought maybe I could add an ivory ribbon or paper belly band around the box to draw in some of the ivory...Any thoughts?

Also, the stickers I picked out had a little space for a saying on them I was going to use "A Goody Bag For The Goodies!" but I think it sounds dumb...anyone out there good with words????
Then it was just going to have our names and the date.

I'm also thinking about asking the dis-er that made my place cards to make a similar design and maybe using that...then I thought maybe I could use the one I have and just put in the date...Keeping it all the same...again...Thoughts???

*sigh* 113 days until we leave! Isn't that crazy!

Love the place card too. My advice is to get ALL this done asap, because the last 2 weeks, there are last minute things that make getting projects done really hard. I ended up wondering where my 2 year engagement went lol. You're doing great so far!

I'm thinking off white belly band will work around the gable box...I have 12 of them...so I'll be able to mock a couple of them up.

I know I need a couple of craft days....I want to have everything done by mid October. I have a conference to go to and want everything done and sent out by them...Here's to hoping I'll actually get it all done...

PLACE CARDS ARE DONE! What an amazing feeling to actually accomplish something! I won't re-post them...they are exactly as shown in the pic before...except on a parchment looking cardstock...black ink...they look great! So happy!

ABSOLUTELY!

I just put in what I think will be my last order for wedding stuff...So, everything that I need has been ordered and now all needs to be put together. Luckily I have some great friends that want to help! the biggest PITA is the mini books I want to put together...but that is really the only major project.
I have to put stickers on the take-out boxes...figure out how to pack everything up and take it and I managed to get all of the stuff I wanted to send together...I'll post pictures when I have everything together!
