Hi all,
We were just wondering if anyone has stayed in the preffered pet loops, and if so, is there a specified "pet walk" area as there is in the regular pet loops. We leave on the 13th for a two week stay, and we will have three dogs to walk. We lucked out and got a preferred pet loop for this trip. We've only ever stayed in the regular pet loops...
Thanks:mickeybar

The 300 and 700 are the "preferred" pet loops. The 500 loop is an overflow preferred pet loop when additional pet sites are needed. Fort Wilderness has three "pet walk" areas which include the canal pet walk off the 1800 loop for the non preferred lops (1600-1900), a canal pet walk off the 300 loop and a nice wooded walk behind the 700 & 800 loops (800 is now a full hook up pet loop).

Remember, even though additional pet loops have been added, pets must remain within a pet loop. You must drive them to the kennel, you can NOT walk them to the kennel, nor can you walk you pets out of the pet loops themselves.

Thanks, Tim, for the info. Didn't know about the 800 loop. Have you ever stayed at the 300 or 700? We've only stayed in the 1600-1900 area.

We have never seen the need to stay in a preferred site. With no TV in the pop up we don't really have any use for the cable, plus i think it's quieter back in the 1800 & 1900 loops.

We stayed in loop 300 on our last visit with our two dogs (a bassett hound and a yorkie). This is a preferred loop and the dog walk is by a canal. It's a fairly small loop, so no matter where you are, you're near the dog walk. We had a great time staying in this loop and no problems at all. Have a great trip. I'm jealous, our next trip isn't until halloween.pirate:

FLTeacher, thank you for the information. It sounds like the 300 loop is a great loop to stay in. We're really looking forward to our trip, so are our sheltie, shih tzu and pomeranian!

Your Halloween trip sounds great, we've always wanted to visit WDW at Halloween time, maybe someday. Thanks again for the info.

We stayed in Loop 700 on our trip in November 2003. Our site was about 4 down from the Pet walk. It wasn't bad. The pet walk was a little spooky after dark. The lighting was not real good, if any at all. So make sure you bring a nice big flash light!

We enjoyed staying in the 700 loop. Only draw back was we had to share a comfort station with loop 400, but it was a very short walk form our site.

Steph

Thanks Steph...We'll be sure to bring a big flashlight with us for those bedtime pet walks.
