Has anyone had a pet that has had a bad reaction to vaccines? I have had pets all my life and this is the first time this is happening(I think)
My Bengal cat got sick back in October with feline calicivirus, after we got new kittens from a rescue. $400, 2 weeks and a lot of worry later, he recovered. I decided to make sure all the cats were up to date on the FCVRP vaccine which covers distemper and calicivirus. So I took Pharaoh two weeks ago to have his vaccine. He seemed fine then, but for the last week, he has been really lethargic. He is walking a little stiff legged too. He is eating and using the litterbox, but not eating as much as usual.
So...I am not sure what is going on. I am going to call the vet tomorrow, and see how long I should give this if it is a reaction. Obviously, it doesn't seem life threatening, but it is sad to see a cat who has been very active and energetic being basically a lap cat. I am wondering if he got mild case of one of the sicknesses that the vaccine protects against.
Any advice would be helpful
