Herbie's stitches are out!!
Everything looks great and he is one happy kitty to have the collar off
The vet said everything looks good and the healing should continue nicely.
He did say because of the surgery that we need to culture his urine now and then to make sure no UTIs are brewing and everything seems to be working.
Amazing how 2 wks ago tonight I didn't know if we would be saying good-bye to little Herbie. I am so thrilled he is still with us and doing so well

aw:
Herbie must be mighty happy about that
As for culturing the urine...our surgeon recommended that this be done every 3-6 months. We're also giving our cat "cranberry relief" in his food twice a week. It's a cranberry powder that I bought online from petfooddirect. It's supposed to help prevent UTIs. Our cat is 5 weeks post-surgery tomorrow. I know what you mean about it being unbelievable to see your cat doing so well when you weren't sure that he would even live a few weeks ago. Amazing, isn't it?
