I am going next week to HRH and PBH and I am bringing my (2) yorkies. I was wondering has anyone ever brought their animals with them? Reservations was very nice regarding my dogs I just hope the other staff members will be the same.

there are few hotels in Kissimmee that will except pets (I have a cat) AAA has list.

the only deluxe hotels are the ones at Universal.

I can't wait to stay at HRH and bring my friend with me. I am a DVC member and stay at Disney alot - he stays in their kennel, he loves it there and the CM are great - but I will enjoy having him with me. You know when you visit the parks at Universal, I think your pets have to be in their kennel (you can't leave them in the room without you).

I stayed at PB a few weeks ago (although no pets with me). They have a pretty extensive room service menu for pets. I was really surprised because I had never seen that before!

Did anyone catch that show on the Travel Channel where they showed what millionaires do with their pets in NY NY?
This one girl had to go somewhere. So she had her two little black poodle dogs picked up by limmo, taken to a posh hotel in NY, and pampered the entire day. The dogs we're escorted into the hotel, greeted by everyone, then taken to a room with dog beds. This is where it really got crazy. They brought in gift baskets, asked the dogs what they wanted from a menu, and served them some fancy food in special crystal.
They put dog books in front of them and had them opened up so they could read.
A massuse (SP?) came in and massaged the dogs putting special oil on them and petted it in.
Now I bet some of it was staged for the show, but I couldn't take any more and had to change the channel.

If you have money, they'll take care of you.

I recently saw a program on the Travel Channel about the Hard Rock Hotel. One of the segments concerned how very welcome pets are. They commented that usually the pets were better behaved than some of the guests. They have special "pet friendly" rooms that have treats and special food and water bowls for the pets. It looked like they were bending over backwards to accommodate pet lovers.

Does anyone know if HRH has rooms that are designated for the pets? Or do they use any room?
My DH is highly alergic to dogs & cats and if the guest before us had a dog in the room it would really bother him.

I took my yorkie this past summer to the HRH. When I made reservations I was told I would be staying in a pet friendly room, but honestly, it looked like we just got whatever room was available. When I made reservations we were asked how large our dog was so that they would have the appropriate gift toys for us upon check in, but we never rec'd any, and the room did not have anything for the dog either. Pets are allowed in the lobby, but not near the pool. They had a walking area also. We actually saw a few dogs during our stay. The only problem we encountered was no room service if we were not in the room to watch the dog. We were told to call when we were in the room so that they could come and clean. One day they never came. Another day we called to say we would take the dog out for a walk for an hour, and they still were unable to get to our room.

My husb is also highly allergic to cats. I never even thought about pets being allowed in the hotel because we usually stay at Disney and no pets are allowed in the rooms.
We went to HRH for Thanksgiving and I got suspicious when I saw the Doggy "take out menu". When we figured out that pets were allowed, I called the front desk and asked if certain rooms were reserved for NO PETS and they said NO! That the pets were welcomed in all the rooms. I must say that the room was very clean and my husb had no problems but it could have turned out alot worse! If you are thinking about HRH you need to ask upfront about pet free rooms. maybe you'll get a diff response.
good luck!

Thanks, I guess it's too late. We check in on Jan.2nd. I have stayed there before & he didn't have any problems. I'll still mention it at check in. Geez, you think they would have designated rooms!

I was wondering if there is a weight limit or size limit on a pet. I have 2 dogs (92 & 75 lbs each). I don't plan on bringing them.. they would not be happy in one room for 5 days. I was just wondering if there were a limit.
