Hey everyone! DD (age 12) is looking for some gift ideas that she can bring back for her soccer teammates (16 kids total). She wanted to get them something personalized, but I can't think of anything that is personalized that won't break the bank! Any ideas????

You could buy each of them a postcard of their favorite character, or the character your daughter associates each friend with according to their personality, and then have the character sign the back of the postcards. It would cost about 50 cents each to buy the cards. It would take a lot of time, and I'm not sure how long your trip is.

16 personalized gifts bought at WDW is going to set you back some serious $ no matter how you look at it. Maybe you could get something Disney themed at a local store and then personalize it. One thought would be Disney themed cups (from Party Store and maybe Dollar Store) that you could put each girls name on and then fill with something (Mickey cookies or pretzels or maybe Disney laces for their cleats).

Good luck. By the way, I think it's really nice of your daughter to think of her friends like that.:D

You can always find necklaces, pins or keychains with names at the World of Disney (get that Disney Club discount!) for under $10. That still might be a little steep. You might also check out those carts selling bracelets or keychains that you can spell out names with individual blocks with letters on them. It has been a while, so I don't remember the price on those.

Take a trip to the Disney outlets at the Beltz Mall in Orlando while you are on vacation. I remember last year they had disney (gold or silver) metal initial pins. I believe they also had a character on them. They also had TONS of beannies, many marked down to 1.99. One of the earlier posters "favorite character" idea was a good one. Every year I go, I bring back a small gift for each of my coworkers. One year I brought back a diffrent beannie for each of them. Another year I brought back the Mickey key chains with the metal initial attached. Both definetly went over well! Also check if the Beltz will have one of their outside tent sales while you are there. They have even better bargains and markdowns with those sales. Make sure your daughter has a list of names with her. It gets really easy to forget somebody!

Thanks for the ideas!!! I will definitely hit the Belz Outlet Mall, great idea :)

At DD you can build a pin and they will engrave a name on it. It may cost too much but these are so cute. I think I paid about $16 for each one, I am not sure exactly. There may be less expensive ones, it is a fun place to stop in and look around.:)

I always try to bring small items back for my staff.

I have found that the keychains with their initial and Mickey on them go over well, they are usually about $5-$8 a piece.

On my last trip I had Mickey ears done for each of my staff members. I had them done at the embroidery shop at MGM cuz they looked nicer than the ones they do in MK.

Most people are just happy that you thought of them and brought them back a little piece of the magic. ;)

I brought back embroidered Mickey Ears for my daycare children once, but that can be expensive. For Christmas I gave each of my kids a Guest of Honor badge with their names on them, and they love them! They are fairly inexpensive and really neat. There is a stationary shop in MGM that has monogrammed stationary sets that are really cute, but not all kids have a run-of-the-mill name these days(mine included!). When we took my daughter's friends with us last year to celebrate her 14th birthday, they called themselves "princesses",(my daughter was Belle, 1 girl was Jasmine, 1 Cinderella, etc.)and now we buy little things with that particular princess on it when we go back for those girls...mostly pins and beanies. Disney sells small pins with names on them as well as the keychains with a letter, and you could pair this with a mickey lollipop for a special treat. I hope these ideas help!

They're $5 each. Call Disney's Days of Christmas at Downtown Disney. The direct line is (407) 828-2042 or (407) 828-3759. Leave a message with what you need. They will make them and either ship them to you, or drop them at your resort. They are terrific!

Enjoy your stay!
