Dolly,
I have been TRYING to make my own...using your instruction on another thread...still no luck! I can almost get it...
Can I please request three?
One with Tink and the name Brianna; one with the princess and the name Alyssa; and one ith Mickey and the name Damien?
I will be forever in your debt!
Nini Morris
Nini,
I would be happy to help...here you go...but do me a favor and try one of these one more time and let me know where you are having a hard time so that I can post better instructions for others to give it a try and succeed. Once you know how to do it...it is soooo much fun!
Here are the latest instructions on how to add words over an image.
The only letter that this won't work for is "Mickey and Gang" because I don't think it is possible to make letters with images showing through in Word.
Text Box
First copy and past the image you want to use into Word.
Next, make sure that your cursor is below the image that you want to insert a text box over. (You can do this clicking on the image hitting the right arrow key on your keyboard, then hit return.)
Then look for the tab at the top of word that says "insert".
Scroll down and click on "text box".
A big box will show up on the screen below your image that says text box...ignore this box but look for your mouse that will show up as a +. Move the +/mouse to where you want your text box to go then left click and drag the mouse to make the size box you want for the area you want the wording to go.
Then go back up to the top of word and click on "format".
Then click on "text box".
Look for the tab that says "colors and lines".
In the fill section make sure the color box says "no color"
In the line section make sure the color says "no line".
Then the background will show through/behind whatever text you type in the box and there won't be a line around the text box.
Then you can type whatever you want inside the box by clicking inside the box and choosing font and size.
Once you start typing a word...if part of your letters aren't showing up...make the box bigger.
If the box isn't the right size you can drag the corners and sides to make it the right size.
Thanks for attempting it one more time...I'm hoping to get these instructions perfect so that anyone can do it.
If you like the Walt Disney Font, which is the one that I used to add names to most of the letters...here is how to download it:
• Go online to
www.dafont.com
• Search, find and open a font called “Waltograph”
• Click on the “Download” button
• Then click on “Open”
• Next you will need to unzip the file. In most computers, a screen will pop up with a box on the left that says “folder tasks” and in the box right click on “extract files” Follow the prompts by clicking “next” and “finish” making sure that the final box has a check mark next to “show files”
• A new box will pop up. In this box, copy “Waltograph42” and “WaltographUI”. Do this by holding down your “control” button on the bottom left corner of your keyboard and right click each file. Then on the top of the screen click on “edit” and in the drop down box click on “copy”.
• Next right click on your computers “Start” button
• Then right click on “Settings”
• Then right click “Control Panel”
• Then open the file that says “Fonts”
• At the top of the font screen right click on “Edit” and then in the drop down menu right click on “Paste”
