Personalized Mickey Ears

I want to bring back my little cousin (he'll be about 1 1/2) Mickey ears for a souviner. I would like to get them personalized. I'm going at a very busy time and need a plan of attack. (i.e. I don't want to stand around all day waiting for this. If I have to, I just won't get them.) My question is: Where can I get this done (with ears small enough for him)? And how can I manage it so it doesn't take all day? (When's the best time to go?)

We got some personalized mouse ears for my BIL (he hates Disney and this was a joke gift for him). Anyways, we got them at the Christmas store in downtown Disney. Go early in the morning when they first open for the fastest service. We went mid-week and purchased the ears first thing. We shopped while they personalized them and it was a breeze.

They also had a very nice selection of Mouse ear sizes as well as embroidery choices. Have fun!!!

We bought them at the hat shop on Main Street just inside Magic Kingdom. They also had a really good selection and were really quick. We always just have everything sent back to the room so it doesn't take long at all.

In December the stores opened at 9 or 10. Sorry, I can't remember the exact time. If you are staying on property when you get to Disney, they'll give you a schedule with all opening times for the parks and DTD.

So, could we just go to a sop like that in MK first thing in the AM, pay for the Mickey ears, leave them to be personalized, and they will send them back to the room after? That would be great! Kala, do you remember seeing any sizes for toddlers?

We also got them at the hat shop on Main Street. It is to the right before you actually go down Main Street as you enter MK. We actually bought the ears at Mickey's Toon Town and a CM there told us to take them to the hat shop and for NO EXTRA charge they would personalize them. Our boys were 3 and 5 then so yes....they have toddler sizes. Good Luck!!!

This is very good news. I'm thinking maybe we will go to MK on a morning EMH day and get this done and then hop to another park. Either that or the do it the day we actually go to MK but this seems like it would save some time.

We got ours at the shop by Peter Pan in MK. We purchased them, went to IASM and PP and when we came back they were done!! So, if you don't want to take a "non park day" to try to get them, you could do something like this. It worked GREAT and DS still has his from 5 years ago!!

We just bought ours at a small stand somewhere in MK. We asked about the personalizing, and she said that as long as they were bought at Walt Disney World, they would be personalized for free at Le Chapeau. There wasn't many people when we were there, so we stayed and waited, and our three kids really liked to watch them embroidering their names on the hats. As a sewer myself, I was amazed on how beautiful they do it free hand. I guess they get a lot of practice every day. Can you imagine how many hats they would do every day! They won't embroider on the bride hats though. I've seen the thread for the new golden mickey ear hats, so hopefully they will embroider on them with black or something.

In December we bought all three DD ears at MGM. The store is the next to the last entrance on the right as you walk into the park. Sorry can't remember the name. It is located at the corner of Hollywood and Sunset.

Anyway, We picked out the ears and script. We also filled out the form to have them deliverd back to OKW. Took all of 5 min to complete transaction.

By far was the easiest ear purchase ever.

I'm so glad to hear that this won't take much time. I'm worried with going in July that everything will take so long to do. We are definitely going to get him some ears and have them deliver them back to our room so we don't have to wait. Then we'll be on our way! Thanks for the reassurance.
