We are thinking of purchasing the personalized M& Ms for our November wedding. Has anyone ordered these? Did you think they were worth it? How far in advance did you buy them? TIA!

We're planning on using them for our September wedding. I plan on ordering them the last week of August. I think they take around 3 weeks?

If you google, you can find discount codes for a free bag of custom m&ms and free shipping.

Oooo good tip thanks!

My brother had them at his wedding and I thought they were cute. I am going to do them for our at home reception. You can put pictures on them now! :goodvibes

I used them too. They were no as good as I expected them to be. I just got DH's and my names on them and the Date of the wedding. The writting on them was not good quality, like on some the 2008 looked like 2000, etc. Some were also oily, but that may have been DH's fault, he drove from Omaha to Orlando with them in his car, just in the box they were shipped in. They still taste great, I had a ton left over and have them in an M&M bank thats like a gumball machine.

I didnt know about the pictures, that wasnt available when I ordered them in March. It sounds fun

I had them as well. I had our names on one, and WDW 2007 on the other. (I don't believe WDW is trademarked, so you can use that. Well, they made them anyways.)

I don't think many of the guests really noticed the special writing. Not sure if I would have them custom made, but I did like that I had custom colors. People did notice that.

My bridesmaids did them at my bridal shower... i thought they were cute.... They put our names and our wedding date.. I had always thought about getting them for my DF for valentines day or something but i thought they were too expensive for candy...

Here is a picture from my shower....

This is one of the ideas I'm working on for our at home reception too....I'm planning on just having our names on them though I think...

I did them and LOVED them. They were a huge hit. We ordered our first shipment, sorry I can't tell you how many bags we ordered, I don't remember. Seems like somewhere between 10 and 15. We just had our names on them. We ended up not having enough, so we ordered just some plain ones in a diff accent color, so we had ivory and pink custom ones, with wine colored plain ones. We put them in clear boxes w/really pretty bows. HUGE hit, like I said. They were one of my favorite things. I think we made about 100 of them.

ETA-found some pictures..

I actually work for M&M and this is what I plan on doing for my wedding especially now that we can add pictures as well.

i had them as well and thought they were a cute touch. we put them in little boxes for my welcome bags.

I had them because they were relatively new when I got married and I just thought they were too darn cute!! I loved them!!

Our wedding was September 20 and I think I ordered them around the end of July/beginning of August. I was really worried that for some reason the shipping time would be "off" and I didn't want to cut it too close. I was also worried that shipping them in the summer would not work...so I figured if they got to me early and in good shape I was fine. If not, I still had time to come up with a "plan B".

Thanks everyone for all the pics and info! I really appreciate it. I think they'll be cute for our wedding too!

great color combo! when are you going to wdw? i think we may be there at the same time!

I did them too and I really loved them!! I will say that I had to call them and get one whole batch of five bags redone because they weren't done well. M&M was very good though and the second batch was perfect so they stand behind their product! I would give yourself at least 3 - 6 weeks before the wedding as you can leave them sealed until you are ready to put the favors together. Do check the quality though! I am glad I had them :goodvibes

Does anyone know or what did you spend for the M&M's? How much did you order? We are only having 30 guests and I was thinking of putting some in their welcome bags (1 per couple) but I am trying to keep the budget low on the total spent for each bag. TIA!!

I bought a few little bags of the custom colour m&ms from the Times Square M&M World store so we could have the colours available for reference at our planning session.

I packed them in my suitcase, and they certainly suffered from being in the heat when the suitcase was left in the car. They got oily, and the 'm's got faded, too.

So that's a good tip for future brides. If you're traveling with them, keep them cool!

I packed the cold packs around mine to keep them cool on the trip! I was able to use a coupon and got five 7 ounce bags with one being free for $47.96. They are pretty expensive, as you can see. I ordered ten total bags with two of them being free.

They are expensive, I will have to see if it will be in our budget. Thanks for the pricing!
