Usually I would not even consider to personalize my kids clothing. I always have heard it is a safety issue. However, I was thinking of getting Mickey sweatshirt hoodies for my kids for our trip in Dec and there is free personalization.

Have you/would you get these? I for some reason think Disney is 'the safest place on earth' and it would be ok here.

I for one think that personalization on clothing is fine & we live right outside of NYC and visit there very often (it is not the "safest place on earth ":rotfl:)

It is just as easy for a predator to read their name on their clothing as it is for them to walk next to you and hear you call little Tommy by name 8 thousand times.

Different parents will have different views on this topic, if you are comfortable with it then go for it. My dd8 has been wearing personalized clothing to WDW and NYC for her entire life and hasn't been abducted yet ;)

Thanks Krysta. I am way overthinking all things Disney. Thanks for the dose of common sense. I am ordering the hoodies now!

I agree! If a predator wants to learn your child's name it just takes a second to learn it by overhearing normal conversation. :)

We ordered those jackets 3 years ago and have worn them over our other personalized t-shirts/dresses for 3 trips. :) This next time since I know have a monogram Disney machine I will be doing our own. :)

Personalize away!!! Enjoy your trip!

I got my son one of Disney's personalized jackets, and he also has his name embroidered on his backpack. Maybe I'm just trusting that no one else would want him. :rotfl2:

Seriously though, I figured that way there would be less chance of another kid at school accidentally taking his jacket or backpack, or if he had a sub, no question which lunch was his, etc. Because he has a language delay in the past he couldn't always speak for himself. Thats not so much the case anymore, but its still nice for him to see his name on it and KNOW its his.
