HI,

looking for a place to get personalized disney t shirts before we go,,,zazzle has a great site, but just want to make sure there is nothing else out there,,,

thanks, wendy :cool1:

It looks like Disney Direct has the service to personalize teeshirts for $19.99

I too suggest disneydirect.com. They have great art to choose from....both tee shirts and sweatshirts, adults and children. They were recently having a sale, so don't know if it's still on. They are currently having a sale that gives you an additional 15% off your order. Not sure of the code, but it's out there.

I would be careful with zazzle. A lot of people on these boards have complained about them

I bought mine at DisneyDirect a couple of weeks ago. They were on sale and I got a code for another 20% off!!! They arrived Thursday!

I made some t-shirts for our upcomming trip. I didnt put names on them but I guess i could have. I did iron on's but my friend has a sewing machine that she said she could put names on things for me. I got a pack of 6 iron on sheets from walmart for i think $6 and paid about $4 ea pocket tee's for the family. I put the AKL logo and 2005 on the front pocket and each persons favorite disney character on the back. I did considder doing something cute like mommy, daddy, sissy, buddy but didnt. They turned out so cute, I picked up a bunch more shirts (2.44 ea on sale at Michaels) and hats. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do with them yet. But the shirts through one of the places that would make them for me were like atleat $80 for the 4 shirts. I paid total o f $16 fo iron ons, 18 for the first 4 shirts, $30 for the next 12 shirts, $8 for hats. dont quite know how to figure in how much printer ink I will use but lets say $20 - my totaly for 4 different matching shirts for the family and hats is $92. (and I really dont think I will use that much ink just went with that number since that is about half a tank). I understand there is a huge quality difference in the design but this was a fun way to do it and fun for the kids to pick out what we are gonna do.

I would guess total cost per shirt is around $8.00, maybe less. I used our nicknames for each other & stuck the little Mickey heads in the design at the last minute. Everyone already had a bunch of white tees so I used light pink & light green, then colorized the background of the design to go with the shirt color. I still have to go over the pixie dust around Tink with silver sparkle paint. I think that will make it show up better. These may not be as fancy as ones you buy but they will do okay for us. :wizard:

Do the iron ons work just regular ink jet printers? Sounds like a great idea and much cheaper than zazzle ::yes::

Yes I printed from an ink-jet printer. Buy brandname transfers. Make sure you wash the shirts first with NO fabric softener, NO dryer sheets. And follow the directions for how to iron it on. I dont know if all this is necessary but I was very hesitant to try this since they did it for my dd's preschool field trip and most of them were falling apart just between sending it home and getting it on (first wearing) for the trip and we washed first and didnt wash after. so the first pack of iron on printer paper i bought, I bought the small pack (HP brand) and did only one shirt till I saw how it worked. Who knows how well they will hold up after washing I hope well but I did so far so good and it was several weeks ago that I did it. The others seemed to fall apart at the fold and these have been folded and are fine. Also be sure to let them completely cool before pulling off the paper. Since I was doing the front and back of the shirt I didnt pull off the backing until both sides had been ironed and cooled.

I also made both DD's shirts to wear I wanted the whole family to have one but DH said he would feel like a dork with it on so I didn't make Mr.s Grumpy pants one or me one.

The front of them say Keri & Lilli's 1st trip to Disney World and it has a pic of Minnie and Daisy in a pink car. Then on the back I put their names and the age below but it looks like a baseball jersey with a number under the name. I got so inspired that I made my little DD a shirt with Strawberry Shortcake on it for her first birthday since we are having a strawberry shortcake party.

I ordered the Bride and Groom personalized T-shirts from DisneyDirect. I just recieved them yesterday. They are so cute! (and the fact that I got an extra 20% off of the sale price was great!!). The moment of truth was when I held it up to show my Fiance and had to say "You will wear this, right?" :rotfl:
