Hi All,

I've seen people say they leave things in their strollers while on rides. Is it not common for items to be stollen? We live near a Six Flags, and I would never leave anything while on a ride there. If not, what do you do with souvenirs, backpacks, etc while on rides?

Thanks!

We leave our stuff in/underneath the stroller and have never had anything stolen. Mind you, we do not leave anything of value at the stroller or anything we would be heartbroken over if it went missing. If we purchase a souvenir, it gets sent back to the room or else we purchase at the end of the evening.

We put anything valuable in a backpack and just take it on the ride with us. I'll leave a diaper bag or the kids backpacks under the stroller, but nothing I'd be heartbroken about if it was stolen.

we leave our bags with things like pull ups, sunscreen, food and drinks, at the stroller. money and phones/cameras go with us on rides. Expensive souvenirs go to a locker. cheaper souvenirs like mickey ears we usually stuff under stroller and have never had anything go missing.

I pack ready to bring everything on the rides with me.. If I get a souvenir that I dont' need to carry that day, I have them hold it at the front of the park (it's an option if you get it early enough in the day) or I send it to the room when that is an option (couple day delay to arrive so you have to still be staying there when it would come).

There's been posts of stolen stuff on here.. I've seen some people panic there stuff is gone, I've also seen parents paniced when there entire stroller was taken.

As others have said, for the most part I carry anything of value to me with me on rides in a backpack/purse. However, on a few occasions I have left souvenirs behind in a bag underneath my stroller and I never had anything stolen, either in WDW or Disneyland. I think theft, while possible, is not at all commonplace.

I never intentionally leave any valuables in stroller. I have had a souvenir bag stolen from under stroller. I don't care about the stuffed animal or T-shirt that was in the bag. I did forget however that I threw my wallet in the bag inside the store and never took it out. A Louie Vuitton wallet no less. And of course our flight was later that night and I no longer had my ID. After that I am much more careful.

My kids are way past stroller age, but always sent packages back to the resort via Disney or waited to buy things on our way out of the park. We didn't bring a separate diaper bag, just put a couple diapers and travel pack of wipes and clean shirt in a small backpack with sunscreen, etc. I think we usually left that with the stroller. Don't leave opened food, the squirrels will take it (have seen that happen). You can take a backpack with you on everything except Kali, and they have free lockers for while you ride.

We have always carried a messenger bag with us so nothing was every left in the stroller. Everything just goes on the ride with us. (WDW isn't like Six Flags where you leave your items on the loading platform as many times the rides load and unload in different locations. You can take it all with you.)

I'm with everyone else. I have never had anything stolen but I've never left anything of value in the stroller. All purchases get sent back to the room if possible or to the front of the park to be picked up when we leave. Generally I feel that Disney is very safe but I will probably feel that way until something happens!

Never leave anything that you would be upset to lose in the stroller. Period. That's just tempting fate. There HAVE been reports on these boards of stuff being stolon from strollers and ECVs in the past. It does happen.

Travel light and bring everything on the ride. WDW is family friendly - there are pockets, bins, etc to put your stuff in on the ride vehicles that need them. Otherwise a backpack fits down by your feet.

My advice? Never leave anything behind you'd be unhappy to lose. Otherwise, we've never had a problem transporting a backpack on any ride at the park (save for RNR Coaster and that's only because I haven't tried it yet. Dh rode with our older daughters).

Take 'everything' with you unless you just are tempting fate. Things have been stolen - even items of clothing - jackets, etc.
Also, put colorful, identifying ribbons on your stroller, or anything that you can easily identify, and not easily/quickly removed.

I once accidentally left my purse hanging on the handle of my stroller. Granted, it was ginormous and could have been mistaken for a diaper bag, but after riding it's a small world I ran back to the stroller and everything was there.

The stroller is worth more than anything we would leave in it.

Unfortunately people do steal strollers at WDW, as well as the stuff left in them. That is something else to consider, how comfortable you are leaving an expensive stroller unattended? Some people take the step of locking two wheels together, making the stroller unusable for a thief.

I'm usually more afraid of loosing my stroller! It's very expensive and - how would the rest of my trip go without it? Once I couldn't find isn't after visiting Talking Mickey in MK...what a scary ten minutes! A cast member had moved it waaaaay up stairs by the exit and we walked right past it (back to wherever left it). I've been paranoid ever since. HOWEVER: nothing was ever stolen, thank God! Another reason why I have such a great opinion of WDW
