I had this is Strategies Forum but thought I'd ask here too since we live in Canada...

We're going to the park in May and I know it'll be hot. Looking for something for my MIL who really overheats.

I looked at the little hand held fans in the Disney store. They were cute and lit up but didn't give off much air/movement. I know they sell fans/misters at Disney but didn't know how well they worked or the price.

Any suggestions/recommendations?

We went to Disney last May and it was hot at times. I picked up one of the mist/fan bottle at a Kitchen/Bath shop here at home before we went. It worked quite well. The spray refreshes you and then the fan helps to keep you cool. If you can find one here it should be cheaper than getting one there. The ones they have at Disney also work quite well. The only downside is you have to lug this thing around all day. Try filling it with ice water. The little fans you get at the dollar store also work well. What about trying a face cloth kept in a ziploc and cooling off whenever you're near a water fountain. That can work well also. There are plenty of places to sit in the cool and most of the rides are airconditioned so we didn't find it too bad. Not like it was when we went in September.
