Who Wants to be a Millionaire-Play It! Sad to see it go. Never tried it there but I know a lot of folks loved it.

Change is hard :(

How sad! Was it not getting enough visitors? Have they announced a replacement attraction?

I am very upset about this. It was our favorite thing to do at MGM besides ToT. My DH even made it to the hotseat back in 2003! When we were there last year, the show was full. I guess it's time to move on though. What are they supposed to be putting in?

I'm very upset to see it go! :(

I only got to go once, and it was hard to keep my children very quiet. I was waiting for them to get a bit older so we could all go together.

There are other attractions that should have been gone instead.

its really sad...i read about it so much in here, that i really want to play it before it closed...i was hoping it will be still open in october..but i think not :sad2:

Never play it...shame on me :sad2:

I always loved that attraction! It so sad to see it replaced! I'll always remember when my Mom got into the hot seat, but she missed the 64,000 pt. question. WWTBAMPI-will be missed!

since the show is no longer on the air and it'sn that popular, and the one in callifornia has been gone for a while. This was next on the chopping block. The reason why Sounds Dangerous hasn't been removed is because the millionaire sound stage is one of the largest in the park. a new ride is going to be taking it's place.

My older DD's and I loved that game and would go back a couple of times while at MGM over the course of a week. They'll miss it this fall.

Last January I missed the cruise by two questions.

Will miss this too much. To me, it downgrades the entire park.

Change is inevitable however.

WWTBAM never really did anything for me. My mom loved it and we always did it, but it was usually just a nice escape from the heat for me. But then this previous trip, I made it to #1! Seat 617! I messed up the next question so I lost the spot, but it was still awesome.

I a little sad to see it go, and I hope they put a good ride in there!

I think it has something to do with the TV show too. They are/were still holding open auditions for WWTBAM and Meridith Viera has 2 years (seasons) left on her contract. They film a seasons worth of shows in a few months.

Didn't they do the real show from the MGM studio too when in WDW (walk in and win week)? I think since the show maybe ending soon, there really isn't much interest or need in the studio anymore. I was in the audience for few shows a while back when Regis was doing the show (NYC). It took HOURS to do 1 show.

My DH auditioned for the show in NYC a few months ago. There were tons of people there and the questions were very difficult. There were hundreds of people taking the test at once, with more waiting (every 20 minutes). You either pass or fail. If you pass you then go into a "pool" for 2 years. So I guess this was the last of the auditions.

It's sad to see attractions go. I hope they put something really good there.
