My DD and DN found these water bottles w/Minnie silhouettes on Pinterest that they are dying to make for their trip. Has anyone used this stuff before? I don't want to have to purchase a bunch of vinyl that will just sit and collect dust -- any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated. I plan to make the die cuts with my Cricut Expression.

TIA,
Brenda

You need outdoor vinyl... I utilize craftvinyl.com for my vinyl needs. I use the gloss outdoor vinyl and have very good luck with it. He sales the vinyl in 12x12 and 12x24 sheets. He also has several brands you can choose from. I use the Orcal 651. I made tumblers for my kids to travel with and they are still going strong. I would share photosbut the kids took them to college so they could take them on campus without spilling.

I used the vinyl with my Expression and with my silhouette. You will just need to adjust the cut to vinyl.. I googled that depth level (I forgot the first time! LOL)

Hope that helps!

Thank you!! Do you also use the transfer tape or no? I'm thinking I really don't need to use it for what I'm doing, but you seem to know what you're doing, so what's your thoughts??

I'm not expert by any means.. alot was trial and error! LOL
I used the drywall mess tape for transferring the words once but didn't really like it... felt it took more time to do all that than just putting them on myself.

I know with my Mickey heads I just put them on myself.

Perfect! Thanks for everything, I appreciate it. Our trip is 10 days away -- can't wait! First ever "just the girls" trip!!

Oracal is great - here is what I'm working on now for DS8 ... I'm putting on a binder for him to store his cards in for our next trip. Vinyl crafting is a lot if fun - do you have a cutter or will you be cutting by hand?
