Perfumes and Liquids

Can you still buy perfumes and liquids at duty free in Orlando and bring them back into Manchester I got all confused when looking at the Manchester Airport list of whats allowed in.

You can still buy liquids to bring home but what happened in September (me and my bf both bought perfume) was they didn't actually give it to us until we were boarding the flight and the bags were sealed when we received them. They asked to see our boarding pass when we bought and paid for the items too.

Cool yeah thats good as long as they are giving them in the sealed bags, I just read that not all shops at airport was giving them in the sealed bags yet.

They are definitely sealing the bags(stapled at the top) , brought duty free back on sunday.

Just do what my dh did when he returned from Amsterdam recently...don't buy your wife ANY perfume or drink

Definitely you can buy, u they keep until boarding the plane. You claim your bag with your receipt on your way to board.

We did buy some stuff.
Careful with the prices though....often cheaper in the malls.

A tip if you have a laptop with you. Do internet pricechecks if you have time and inclination.
At Orlando International in May, DH had his eye on an Archos electronic gadget. We whipped out the laptop sitting on a seat next to the Hyatt. Straight on the free wifi connection. Found several prices cheaper by buying over internet from home. So were able to make right judgement not to buy!

For as long as I can remember, back to 1990, any duty free was taken at point of purchase and collected when you boarded the aircraft.
