I surprised my almost 6yo daughter with this event on Mother's Day. We loved it and felt it was definitely worth the money. My daughter did not know what we were doing until we arrived outside the lounge of the GF where the party is held. Her expression was, as they say, priceless when she realized what we were there for. She had heard about it before and knew a little of what to expect. I had packed her Cinderella dress which she wore. Most, but not all, girls wore princess dresses. She was literally jumping up and down when she realized she got to take a doll home with her. Rose Petal and her piano playing friend Lady Leaf were excellent. The sang songs and told stories, including the girls. Sleeping Beauty came in and visited with all the girls for pictures. The girls all got dolls dressed like Sleeping Beauty, tiaras, charm bracelets, a scrapbook set and a best friends certificate. The food left a lot to be desired but the overall experience was wonderful. I would definitely recommend it.

I'm having such a hard time talking myself out of the $$... I'm sure it was a wonderful time.

I booked the tea party, knowing the cost, and figured it will be a once in a lifetime event. I feel my daughter was a great age and most of the other girls were about the same age. One little girl was only about 3 and was too young in my opinion. She seemed to be having a hard time paying attention and staying involved. My daughter and I both had a wonderful time!

I am so glad to hear you enjoyed it, I am considering this for our trip in December. I have been going back and forth between this and the Pirate Cruise only because of the cost, but it is her birthday, so we will probably do the Princess Tea. What food did they serve? I have a two year old, I am not sure what to do with her, I am pretty sure she is too young to really enjoy it.

I believe the children have to be at least 3 to attend the tea party. They served tea for the adults and apple juice for the girls, both poured into tea cups by the wait staff. The kids got heart shaped PB&J sandwiches, triangle ham & cheese sandwiches and grapes. The adults got grapes, blueberries and raspberries, a couple cheese triangle chunks and three varieties of triangle salad-type sandwiches - none of which I knew what they were. They served a delicious cake for dessert. I believe that if you can find the description of the tea party from the Dis main page it describes the food served. It just wasn't anything that appealed to me and it seemed not to be eaten by many others. We commented on how much food they must throw away that didn't get eaten or even tried. I told my husband that you don't pay for the food, you pay for the experience but it was worth it.

Drat. I was hoping to skip breakfast and/or lunch the day we attend. Guess we'll have to eat something before we go, huh? Do you suppose the servers would bring extra fruit and cheese for me in lieu of the "mystery sandwiches"? Makes me glad we've got an early PS for dinner that evening!

Is it held where I think it is? If we get off the MK monorail and then go down one floor, it will be at the right rear portion of the lobby, correct? After spending about an hour wandering the GF lobby waiting for our PS at 1900 Park Faire last trip, you'd think I'd have that lobby memorized, but I somehow never saw the Garden View Lounge!

Does anyone have any photos or additional info on this event. I know it is expensive but I am really considering it for my daughter on our trip. Can anyone give more details.

Thanks

Ditto on the info Please! I have 3 littleones and I saw above not for the under 3 crowd so that leaves one out but I am still curious. I never heard of it before.

Thank you for all of the links!!!!!!!!

I bookmarked them and will read them soon as the girls nap.

Got PS/AR for Disney's Perfectly Princess Tea Party this morning. I am so excited! This will be a complete surprise for DD5. Can't wait!!

Okay - I regret not doing this - and I am hoping they will still offer it or something similar next time we go .... did you see any older girls --- say 10??

I had planned to do this next trip. The price tag I have to overcome, though!! For me and 3 girls, we're talking $470 plus tax!! :earseek: (But, hey, they're my girls and they're spoiled......what can I say??)

DD and I did this on our trip in May and it was GREAT! DD is 8 and she loved it - I almost didn't book it because of the price but I am so glad that I did - it was definately worth it and one of the highlights of our trip :flower:

My princess: 3 and I attended this glorious Tea Party on May 4th and DH and I are soooo glad we splurged! (And he only saw the photos I took!) I was so thrilled that even before the actual tea party began, I was needing a few tissues because everything was so beautiful and they make each and every little Princess feel special on her own. They greeted each princess: inside the dining room with a shower of rose petals, presentation with a tiara and a special greeting and announcement from "Rose Petal". Then, you are escorted to your table (ours was for two) and tea is served! Stories, music, dancing, goodies to eat, delicious dessert, photo ops, I could go on and on! Highly recommend this event for your special little girl(s)!!! Well worth every penny!!!
