Perfectly Princess Tea Party

We will be going to WDW in a few weeks and my girls (6 and 10) will be going to the Princess Tea Party with my wife and their Grandma. I have read that many of the girls dress in Disney princess costumes, which we have a lot of but none that still fit my girls. Will the girls feel out of place if they just wear a nice skirt and shirt? Also it seems that the My Disney Girl dolls are similar to American Girl Dolls in that they have dolls to match girls skin tone, hair color, etc. Do they give everyone the same doll or different dolls?

Hi, it has been two years since I did this with my girls ( by the way, mine are now 6 and 10) - They were 4 and 8 when we went. My daughters dressed in their princess gowns as were about half the other girls. The ones that weren't dressed as princesses wore nice dresses or skirts. All the girls received crowns before they entered and were showered with rose petals and made to feel like princesses. As for the dolls, everybody received an Aurora doll. All blond, blue eyed in the pink dress.

Your daughters are at the perfect age to enjoy this party. My DD8 was afraid she'd be too old, but she LOVED it, while DD4 was getting squirrely in her seat after 45 minutes. I thought it was super cute and very entertaining.
