Hi,
I've noticed an increase in eBay listings for the My Disney Girl Dolls lately. They are even listed on disneydeals.com and are going for much cheaper than the $45 price that I saw at WDW in May. Several auctions state that the doll has been retired and is no longer available at WDW. Anyone been to Disney lately and do they have a newer version of this doll for sale? Also, has anyone attended the Perfectly Princess Tea Party and noticed a difference in the doll that is given out there? I'm also interested in knowing which princess dresses are available to purchase. Any and all info. will be appreciated.
Thanks,

I bought my DDs the exact My Disney Girl Doll with blonde hair that is on disneydeals in June. It was $45 each. I also bought them Cinderella Dresses for $25 each. They had them in gift shops all over5 the parks. We ended up buying ours at Once Upon a Toy in DTD. I noticed that they also had Ariel dresses on sale on ebay for $10. I'm still debating buying them as there is $8 shipping, but still cheaper than $25 in the parks.

Thanks for the info. I've actually bought a couple of items from the eBay seller who has the Ariel dresses listed and she was very good about combining shipping. So if you are planning to buy 2 of the Ariel costumes for your DDs I would e-mail the seller and ask how much the shipping would be for 2. That way you could save even more.

I spoke with the mail order department at WDW last week. The doll has been discontinued and there is not a new version available. The mail order department was selling them last week for $26 with a $10 shipping and handling fee. I ordered one for my daughter (and me!) The lady I ordered ours from said the princess outfits have not been discontinued and are availabe at Disney. Hope that helps!

I'm so gad that I bought them when I did. I have some adorable photos of my DDs dressed in Cinderella dresses, their dolls in Cinderella dresses and of course Cinderella. I wonder why thery would discontinue such adorable dolls?

We were there in June and bought one for 25.00 at the Emporium store on Mainstreet. But there where other ones there that were selling for 45.00.The same with Once Upon a toy and at our resort POR in there gift shop there were some that were 25.00 and some that were 45.00.They all looked the same I am not sure why some were marked different than others. As far as the costumes I did not see any difference in prices.

If you want to see what they look like there is a website called the laughing place storeThey are very pricey on this site, but at least you can see what they look like.I think there is a blonde, redhead and brunette.Just go to the dolls section.

:sad2: Yep guys it is sad but true ...some idiot without daughters decided to discontinuue the doll, but apparently for now not the doll clothes ??!! I phoned WDW merchandise on Thursday ,the cm was really surprised. She did find out what dolls were left and also what outfits. The doll is reduced in price but not the outfits.I always have found the cms at WDW merchandise sweet and extremely helpful, so dont hesitate to order thru them. Now just where did I put that phone number??? :crazy2:

Hi just read the post about the disney dolls, I hope they will still have them for the girls at the princess tea party, I just booked mine for the $200, she should get something worth while to take home from there, $200 is a little steep for the memories alone!

The Princess Tea party is at the GF, it is $200 :earseek: for an hour and a half show with brian rose, all the girls used to get a doll dressed like princess Aurora, a charm braclet, a rose, etc. We are doing it because my DD loves sleeping Beauty! :lovestruc I did not tel DH how much it costs, he thinks it is $100 and that was too much for him. Do a search on the boards, they have pictures and reviews, I cannot wait as it is a suprise for her!

I plan on booking the same thing in a few weeks for our trip. What is this about dresses? Are they getting a different doll? I'm confused...

They are bringing their hallowee costumes of Sleeping Beauty and Belle with us for our trip. When we went last time a lot of girls we wearing theres. Is that not the thing to do?

The number to Disney merchandising is 407-363-6200.

I called and spoke with a rep this morning who told me they couldn't get the doll for me because they are discontinued and he didn't know what the GF would be using with their tea.

We have the tea booked for 10/23 so I would like to find out before then if there is a newer version of the doll or what the substitution will.

Please post after you go and let us know what has changed and how it was for your dd? I wonder if they wouldnt come out with something Aurora special that you could only get at the tea. My DD is just getting really into dolls and I knew she would flip to get one dressed like her as Aurora. But maybe that wont happen now. It should be something substancial for $200.

Have a great time!!!!

Does anyone have a website or link to DisneyDeals. I am looking to find the dolls for my DDs for Christmas.

Thank you

Bump

I decided to bump this up as I am also interested to know what they are giving out as a gift now. We are going towards the end of October. Is there anyone out there who has been recently? What gifts did your little princess get? Thanks for any info princess:

Does anyone know if the clothes fit the American Girl Dolls?
Thanks
Michele
